Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held, via video conferencing technology, a meeting with the directors of the educational directorates in all governorates, to discuss the educational directorates’ preparations for the first semester exams for the transfer classes and the preparatory certificate, and to prepare for the secondary exams for the academic year 2022/2023, and to emphasize the duties and responsibilities The organization of the examination process.
This came in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Directorate Affairs, Dr. Randa Shaheen, Head of the Central Administration for Public Education, Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, heads of central departments, directors of public administrations, and directors of general education development. And Nada Khader, Head of the Initiatives and Development Sector at the Decent Life Foundation.
The minister started the meeting by congratulating the attendees on the new Gregorian year, stressing the importance of the smooth conduct and regularity of the examination system for the first semester, and the safe conduct of examinations.
Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed the need for directors of directorates to adhere to the examination process controls for the years of transportation and preparatory certificate, stressing adherence to the periodical books organizing this matter, not to conduct exams during holidays and official holidays, and to refer the violator to legal accountability.
The minister directed adherence to preventive measures that would not allow the mistakes or events that occurred before to be repeated, stressing the issuance of an acknowledgment that there are no obstacles for all participants, especially the authors of the exam, and adherence to the general and special specifications of the examination paper issued by the National Center for Examinations and Educational Calendar, and adherence to knowledge levels. In the examination paper, it should be divided into 30% for understanding, 40% for application, and 30% for problem-solving and creativity, and to ensure that questions are free of linguistic errors for all languages and that questions are not repeated, and that the time allotted for answering all questions and the time for review is appropriate with the time allotted for the exam.
The minister also directed that a watermark be placed in the name of the educational administration on the question papers to determine responsibility in the event of any error, with an emphasis on security follow-up on the question centers and coordination with the security directorate in each governorate.
As for the exams for the first and second secondary grades, the minister stressed that the exams are electronic, referring to the performance of exams for subjects that are not added to the total and that are examined outside the tablet system before taking the exams.
As for home students or students who did not receive tablets or unequipped schools (private and governmental), they will be tested on paper at the same time as the electronic exam, directed to hold a meeting of technological development officials at the level of educational directorates to determine all preparations and address any problems that may arise in schools. He also directed the minister to commit to holding exams for national identity subjects (Arabic language, religious education, and national education) for international schools and distinguished public schools, directing that the instructors of these subjects set exams for the second semester; In order to enhance interest in this material.
During the meeting, the minister touched on the high school exams, and the minister directed quickly to communicate with the departments to finalize the determination of the high school committees, directing the formation of sub-committees with a force of (20) students in each committee, similar to the years preceding the period of the spread of the Corona virus, stressing the replacement of all committees that occurred. It had problems last year, and the closure of transfers between governorates or between departments in the same governorate, without referring to the ministry.
In another context, the Minister reviewed the readiness of schools to implement the third phase of the implementation of the Activities Day at a rate of (25%), which is scheduled to be implemented at the beginning of the second semester in cooperation with the Ministries of Culture and Sports, directing the educational directorates to submit a photo report and evaluate the experience in the various schools in which the Day of Activities was implemented. activities.
The Minister called on the directorates of the directorates to prepare lists of the data of the students who excelled in mathematics, art and culture, and their superiority was discovered after applying the activity day in the school.
The minister indicated that the ministry is in the process of launching the "Revive School Theater" initiative, with the aim of discovering and sponsoring talented and creative students in the fields of arts, culture and theater.
The minister also emphasized the interest of the state and the political leadership in social protection for vulnerable groups, which is one of the most important goals of the “Decent Life” initiative, directing all educational directorates to facilitate all procedures related to the implementation of initiative projects in the education sector, and to provide the ministry with a report on the implementation of the initiative in each directorate.
The meeting witnessed a review of the Ministry's efforts within the framework of the Decent Life Project, where 2,432 projects were implemented, with 25,000 chapters between construction and maintenance.

On the other hand, Dr. Reda Hijazi emphasized the students’ attendance at school, especially the third preparatory grade, and presented attendance rates, with the need to include points of distinction and weakness for students by notifying success, and implementing an intensive teaching plan for students who are weak in reading and writing, especially in the first grades of the primary stage during the mid-term vacation. The year is under the supervision of directing the Arabic language in the administration, and the implementation of awareness seminars against the dangers of drugs and electronic games, as well as the implementation of awareness seminars for parents to inform them of the first grades system and tokatsu activities, in addition to activating school trips to visit national projects.

The minister also directed that the "support groups" in schools be an attractive factor for our students, explaining that special halls for these groups will be equipped within a specific number of schools within each educational department to receive students and choose the best distinguished teachers to teach various subjects in the support groups, indicating that they will be awarded The teacher for each class in the group immediately upon completion.

The minister stressed that no training should be held in educational directorates except through coordination with the Central Administration for Teachers' Affairs.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Reda Hegazy announced the Ministry's intention to organize a competition to select the best educational administration at the level of the Republic, to honor it with a celebration organized by the Ministry.

For her part, Nada Khedr, Head of the Initiatives and Development Sector at the Foundation for a Decent Life, reviewed the efforts of the initiative in developing schools in the governorates included in the initiative, pointing to the development of 100 computer laboratories nationwide, as well as educating parents and teachers on the new education system, and launching an initiative in cooperation with JICA. To apply the experience of Japanese schools within the schools of the villages of a decent life, as well as the application of tokatsu activities in 100 schools nationwide.
