Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with directors of educational directorates in various governorates, and educational leaders; To follow up on the regularity of the new school year and the discipline of the educational process, and to discuss a number of important points that would achieve the highest levels of security and safety for our students and employees of educational institutions.
The Minister began the meeting by offering his sincere condolences to the families of our deceased students and teachers who passed away on the first and second days of school, stressing that the lives of our children, students and teachers, are very precious. .
Hegazy stressed the need to adhere to seriousness, discipline, and appreciation of responsibility from all employees of the educational system, to implement the ministry's plan in a firm manner, and to preserve the rights of students and the dignity of the teacher, noting that legal measures will be taken against those who fail to perform their work duties.
He pointed out that maintenance is the responsibility of the school principal and the building official; They must review the maintenance completely and accurately, and describe the conditions of the school, noting that the Ministry has prepared a form through which the schools’ position on maintenance is monitored and clarified, starting with the school entrance and the safety of the building, and it will be sent to the Ministry within a week.
He stressed the intensification of the field follow-up plans for leaders in the educational directorates and departments inside schools; To ensure the regularity of work in schools, and the smooth running of the educational process.
He also stressed the implementation of daily supervision schedules, with full diligence and accountability, stressing that the school must be a safe environment that supports teaching and learning that preserves the lives of our students.
In this context, Dr. Reda Hijazi stressed the closure of unsafe schools that need comprehensive maintenance and are not suitable for the continuation of the educational process, in cooperation with the conservatives.
The minister stressed the necessity of holding periodic meetings of school principals with teachers, defining roles and responsibilities, and for teachers to be fully aware of their roles and responsibilities, recording this in a record and signing it.
The minister also followed up on the position of supplying books to educational directorates, stressing that the delivery of books to public school students should not be linked to school expenses, and that students deliver textbooks directly.
During the meeting with the educational directorates, Dr. Reda Hijazi touched on the mechanisms for implementing the sports day and activities in schools, pointing to the need to prepare competitions between classes, then schools and educational administrations, and escalate them at the level of the Republic in the scientific, sports, artistic and cultural aspect, documenting those actions and rewarding outstanding students to motivate them. .
The minister also stressed giving priority attention to people of determination and people with special needs, directing the preparation of campaigns to spread sign language and teach its principles to the environment surrounding these students, to take care of them and know their language to facilitate communication with them.
The minister stressed not to use physical punishment or psychological abuse of students, and work to solve the problem of poor reading and writing among some students.
He also directed the preparation of awareness campaigns for students about electronic games, their danger and prevention, and banning the use of smart phones in schools for students and teachers during the school day.
Dr. Reda Hegazy concluded his meeting, stressing the need to remove all obstacles, overcome all difficulties in front of our students, and preserve their safety, stressing that he will not accept any transgressions or errors that hinder the regularity of the educational process.
