In a joint meeting, the Minister of Education and Higher Education discusses the integration of the pre-university and university education systems
Dr. Tariq Shawqi, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held a meeting to discuss a number of common issues, including the integration of the student’s educational journey from the first stage of the primary education ladder until his graduation, whether from the university academic or university technological track or Technical, on the level of curricula, teaching methods, measurement and evaluation mechanisms, and linking the modern basic education system with new specializations, and with the curriculum updating system that the various sector committees are working on in the Supreme Council of Universities.
Minister of Education and Technical Education Dr. Tariq Shawky said that the school teacher or teacher is one of the most important pillars of the education system, and therefore there is full coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education regarding raising the skill and professional level of teachers, for the first time courses and curricula are added to the Faculties of Education in universities to qualify students of Faculties of Education To work as teachers at all levels of pre-university education in accordance with the latest international educational systems and standards, and the number of practical training hours for training students of Faculties of Education in schools of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in its various stages increased.
For his part, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said that there is full coordination with Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, with regard to the Egyptian education system, especially with regard to teaching skills of the twenty-first century to different age stages in schools and universities, and paying attention to the system of discovering talented and talented people and taking care of them in the different stages of education. Through the Fund for the Care of Innovators and Excellence, the role that the Egyptian Knowledge Bank plays in caring for students and graduates of Egyptian universities is not hidden through the collection of periodicals, books, databases and solutions that are provided to researchers, students, teachers and professionals, which enable them to fully and adequately access global sources of knowledge in science. The meeting discussed the scope of services provided by the Knowledge Bank to the academic community in Egypt and to other sectors, and training support to help Egyptian researchers publish articles in all disciplines with editorial support in international journals, as well as the programs and training courses provided by the Knowledge Bank to raise the level of faculty members ’capabilities. In order to obtain a graduate commensurate with the needs of the labor market in Egypt and abroad, which covers the Faculties of Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Faculties of Education to graduate qualified faculty members and teachers who teach with the latest technology and international standards in education.
