According to the directive of Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, to visit Djibouti to discuss and strengthen aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the Egyptian delegation met, headed by Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education for Teachers Affairs, and the membership of Dr. Nawal Shalaby, Director of the Center for Curriculum and Materials Development Education, Minister of Education and Vocational Training of Djibouti.

The meeting included a review of aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of education, chiefly Arabization, preparing educational curricula, preparing teachers, printing curricula and textbooks, dispatching an Egyptian educational mission, as well as equating the Djiboutian high school diploma to the Egyptian high school to enable students to enroll in Egyptian universities.

Dr. Reda Hegazy indicated that Egypt welcomes cooperation and is ready to provide support, expertise and support to the Djiboutian brothers, in a way that contributes to the improvement of the educational process in the country.

The Minister of Education and Vocational Training of Djibouti said that this meeting represents a step towards strengthening joint cooperation to serve the interests of the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Djibouti stressed the need to establish a joint technical committee to study all aspects of the aforementioned cooperation and work to find implementation steps aimed at putting these ideas into implementation for the benefit of the two countries.

The visit program also included a meeting of the delegation with officials of the School of Excellence in Djibouti, and a visit to the Center for Research, Media and Educational Production.
