Today, Tuesday, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, participated in the sixth plenary session of the Global Education Forum 2023 in the British capital, London, which was held under the title "Steps that can be taken to develop leadership in education at all levels," where he stressed that the Egyptian state has taken a new approach. In preparing young leaders capable of driving progress.

During the session, Dr. Reda Hijazi indicated, in his intervention, that the leader has influence on others, and has the ability to understand the capabilities of individuals, take individual interest in them, mobilize their energies, and create positive energy for work.

The minister added that the follow-up axis is one of the important issues that guarantee the success of any system, pointing out that the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education is responsible for 25 million male and female students distributed in 60 thousand schools and has 2 million teachers and administrators, which required the development of an accurate and effective follow-up system to ensure its sustainability. success of the education system.

Dr. Reda Hegazy also touched on the Ministry's strategy to improve the performance of teachers, stressing that the quality of education cannot be achieved without improving the performance of teachers. Which reflects on the development of students' abilities and talents.

In the framework of improving the performance of teachers as well, Dr. Reda Hegazy indicated that the ministry has implemented many measures that guarantee stimulating the capabilities of teachers, citing, for example, the launch of the Distinguished Educational Administration Competition at the level of the Arab Republic of Egypt, which is selected according to a number of criteria to ensure the creation of a competition that achieves success. The minister also referred to the criteria on which the most qualified teachers are selected by going through many electronic tests in five areas, which are the educational and cultural field, technology, language and features, provided that the teachers then undergo mental and physical training, then an independent body tests them in preparation to qualify them to assume the responsibility of providing a level A distinguished educational program for different generations of Egyptian students.
