On the second day of his visit to Finland, Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, visited the Vikki School for Comprehensive Education and Teacher Education and Training in Finland.
The Minister listened to the presentation made by the school director on her contribution to enhancing the quality of teachers in Finland since 1886, by providing a safe and high-quality environment for education and cooperation between teachers, and in a way that contributes to the development of the education process and the development of curricula and methods of training and education.
It also included the minister's visit to a number of classrooms at different educational levels, his attendance at school classes, conducting mini-dialogues with Finnish students and listening to their educational experience, in addition to reviewing the students' activities in the various activities workshops, as well as reviewing the school feeding system followed in Finnish schools.
The minister was accompanied during the tour by Haitham Salah, Egypt's ambassador to Helsinki, Finland's ambassador to Cairo, Pekka Kosun, Deputy Minister for Technical Education, Dr. Amr Basileh, head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and director of the Operational and Management Unit for Applied Technology Schools.
The visit of the Minister of Education and Technical Education to Helsinki is the first in a series of reciprocal visits with Finnish officials, which will be agreed upon at a later time for the visit according to an action plan determined by the Ministry of Education.
