Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, participated in the "Forum of Ministers of Education in Africa", today, in the British capital, London, on the sidelines of the Global Education Forum 2023.

At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy welcomed the African ministers, expressing his happiness to participate in this forum, pointing to the importance of the African continent and its place in relation to the world, saying: "It is the geography of the place that brought us together, and our strength lies in our union."

The minister also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kenyan and Senegalese ministers of education for organizing this important forum, with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the countries of the continent and exchanging ideas and successful experiences in each country in the field of education.

During his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy emphasized the important Egyptian role in supporting the education strategies of brotherly African countries, which is closely linked to the African road map towards achieving the 2030 sustainable development plan, noting that the education axis represents one of the most important axes that the Egyptian state focuses on in its field. Dr. Reda Hegazy continued that the ministry is working on developing curricula with the aim of improving the quality of life of learners and their families and achieving the joy of learning, noting that the goal of education is to prepare the individual for life and develop himself.

He also added that the ministry aims to focus in developing its educational system on achieving the desired learning outcomes, and productive learning for knowledge, creativity and thinking, which contributes to building the Egyptian personality and possessing skills that are in line with the changes of the times and the many challenges we are witnessing. The ministry also focuses on keeping these skills and capabilities in line with Future jobs in light of digital transformation and technological breakthroughs in various fields.

Dr. Reda Hegazy pointed out that the Egyptian Ministry of Education is keen to include the pillars on which Egypt's reform vision is built, including, for example, life skills and supporting values, contemporary issues and challenges facing Egypt as part of the world, such as climate changes, as well as preparing the individual to adapt to environmental issues. .

In this context, Dr. Reda Hegazy explained that the ministry is implementing evaluation mechanisms in line with the development achieved in the educational curricula, stressing that evaluation is an essential entry point for reforming education and achieving educational goals.

The minister also referred to the ministry's keenness to achieve the principle of justice and equal opportunities and to improve the quality of education and educational services provided to male and female learners throughout the Republic in accordance with the state's strategic plan and in line with the principles of the Egyptian constitution, which stipulates the promotion of the values of equality and equal opportunities.

The "African Ministers of Education Forum" aims to be a platform for exchanging the achievements that have been made, and discussing similar challenges that African countries face at the national level towards providing quality, comprehensive and equitable education, and mobilizing the enormous administrative, academic and research resources that African countries possess, to achieve collective benefit at all levels of education. .
