The Minister of Education and the Governor of Damietta meet the education leaders in the governorate
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, held an extensive meeting with the education leaders in the governorate to follow up on the progress of the educational process on the first day of the new school year 2022/2023.
In the beginning, the Governor of Damietta, on her behalf and on behalf of the governorate's leaders, welcomed the Minister on his first visit to the governorate.
She indicated that she had discussed with Dr. Reda Hegazy several files and topics within the framework of means of cooperation between the ministry and the governorate, to develop solutions to challenges and obstacles to improve the educational system in Damietta.
For his part, the minister stressed that parents are partners of the ministry in the educational process, noting that the ministry aims to return students to schools completely, restore the school's educational role, and discover and develop talents.
The Minister directed the governorate’s education leaders to overcome all difficulties for students during the new school year and hand over books to all students, noting that there is no development without upgrading the teacher’s performance and training, and he also stressed that he will not leave any school at the republic level suffering from a problem and will not accept any abuses. Or errors hinder the regularity of the educational process.
The minister also directed the need to start a student awareness work to spread student awareness about climate change, coinciding with Egypt’s organization of the Global Conference on Climate Change in Sharm El Sheikh “cop27”, in which the Ministry of Education and Technical Education participates in a large exhibition.
Dr. Reda Hegazy pointed to the importance of raising school students' awareness of the national projects that have been implemented during the last period and the national projects being implemented to increase and support the spirit of loyalty and belonging among students.
He explained that the ministry has taken practical steps to integrate technology into the educational process by making use of school channels and educational platforms and allocating viewing periods in the classroom.
With regard to the implementation of the activities day in schools, Dr. Reda Hegazy explained that the idea will be implemented in at least 25% of the schools in the departments as a first stage, and it will be applied gradually throughout the academic year to the rest of the schools in each department.
