The Minister of Education meets with directors of education directorates via video conference network

Today, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with the directors of educational directorates in all governorates, via a video conference network. To discuss the implementation of the training program for activating the school's role in developing students' awareness of the values of national belonging and facing the dangers of electronic games and fifth generation wars.
Dr. Reda Hegazy affirmed the Ministry's keenness on the safety of its students, and awareness of the dangers of electronic games and fifth-generation wars, indicating that the Ministry has prepared a training package in this regard; To activate the school’s role in developing students’ awareness of the values of national belonging, confronting these risks, and developing the skills of school principals, within the framework of sustainable professional development.
The minister stated that the training program aims to train school principals for all stages, provided that it is implemented during the period from (Wednesday, February 1, 2023 to Thursday, February 9, 2023), for a period of two days, according to the circumstances of each directorate, provided that the training is under the supervision of the directors of the directorates, and in coordination with Directors of training departments in the directorate, and directing social education, stressing that the ministry is provided with a final report for each directorate that includes the timing of the implementation of the training, the total number of targets, the number of courses, the number of trainers, and the percentage of attendance and absence.
The minister also emphasized the role of the school in promoting the values of belonging and raising awareness of the dangers of electronic games and fifth-generation wars, and emphasizing the positive practices of students and teachers, referring to the ministry’s proactive role in confronting these risks by activating school activities, as the first and second phases of the activities plan have been completed. And the third phase begins with the beginning of the second semester, with a percentage of 25%, in cooperation with the Ministries of Youth, Sports and Culture, noting the initiative of “reviving school theater” and the importance of discovering talented and creative people and nurturing them in all fields.
The minister directed to activate school trips for all educational levels, during the mid-year vacation 2023, and to visit the national projects of the Egyptian state, and the tourist and archaeological sites in the governorates. To inculcate the values of citizenship and emphasize the national constants, and to organize visits to the Cairo International Book Fair, in implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic to develop awareness among students of what the Egyptian state is achieving, and to help them benefit from the mid-year vacation and achieve full benefit from it.
This came in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Directorate Affairs, Nadia Abdullah, Head of the Central Administration for Teachers’ Affairs, Yasser Mahmoud, Director of the Directorate of Education in Sohag, Dr. Rabab Zaidan, Director General of the General Administration for Educational Leadership Affairs, Dr. Iman Hosni, Director General of Social Development, and the directors of Training departments, and general directors of social education in the directorates.
