The Minister of Education meets the directors of the departments of the General Authority for Educational Buildings at the level of the Republic
Today, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with Major General Yousra Abdullah Salem, head of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, and officials of the Buildings Authority in the educational directorates, in the meeting room of the General Authority for Educational Buildings. To discuss the Ministry's plan during the coming period to achieve the highest rates of safety and security for school students and all employees of educational institutions.
The minister welcomed the attendees, and stressed the importance of the school as an educational institution in which the personality of the Egyptian person is built from childhood, pointing to the authority's role in building schools that accommodate newborns.
The minister stressed the need for schools to keep pace with the digital transformation and to provide smart schools, flexible classrooms, and technological screens that contribute to the learning process and attract students to school.
The minister also instructed the authority to develop a vision for building small schools with special construction specifications and standards in order to attract small investors to the education sector, thus contributing to increasing the number of schools in crowded areas and remote villages to serve students in these residential areas, according to standards and mechanisms set by the authority, stressing The need to take into account not to prejudice the quality when setting standards.
During the meeting, the minister touched on the presidential directives to expand Japanese schools, Nile schools, and international public schools.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Wazir directed the Educational Buildings Authority to review and maintain all school buildings that have passed for more than 15 years, to ensure safety and security at the level of the Republic.
For his part, Major General Yusri Abdullah, Chairman of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, reviewed the Authority's achievements, indicating that the Authority has completed the construction field during the period from 1/7/2021 to date, with the implementation and delivery of a total number of (1670) projects with a total of (24799) chapters, in addition to Work is currently underway for (919) projects with a total of (14724) chapters, and (467) projects with a total of (7102) chapters have been announced. Bringing the total number of projects on which action has been taken during the period from 1/7/2021 to date to (3056) projects, with a total of (46,625) chapters.
This came in the presence of Major General Yousry Abdullah Salem, Head of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, Major General Nir Hamdi, Deputy Director of the Authority, and a number of the authority’s leaders.
