Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Governor of Suez, held a meeting with education leaders and directors of educational departments in the governorate. To follow up on procedures related to the regularity of the school year.

At the beginning of his speech, the minister expressed his happiness at visiting the Suez Governorate, praising the good management and governance applied there.

The Minister said: “The Ministry has taken many measures to achieve a safe and disciplined academic year, including achieving the highest rates of security and safety for school students and all employees of educational institutions. The Minister spoke about school support groups, which are one of the mechanisms to alleviate the burden on parents, as each educational administration selects from 3 to 5 schools in which halls are prepared for students. Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed that the Ministry is keen to reduce the burden on parents and provide the opportunity to achieve the highest levels of achievement for students, noting that the Ministry has created question banks within the framework of the “Assessment for Learning” project starting from the current academic year, which comes as a continuation of the series of procedures that It is implemented by the Ministry, which aims to help students achieve effective academic achievement and achieve maximum benefit through developing academic content and improving the level of the educational process.

The Minister also indicated that the Central Administration for Curriculum Development has prepared educational and training materials for the curricula of all academic levels, which include detailed explanation methods and exercises, which were presented on the Ministry’s website free of charge to students before the beginning of the academic year, and can be viewed through the following link:

The minister added that the ministry also made available live broadcast platforms, as well as hiring the best distinguished teachers on the “Our School” channels, noting that the broadcast of explanations of the various educational materials for the secondary stage began last Sunday, directing students to follow the educational and training materials on the platforms and channels.

The Minister also directed to take advantage of viewing periods and attract students to schools, especially at the secondary level, through activities, stressing the importance of the sports, cultural and artistic day and discovering talented people, noting that the Ministry will hold competitions and qualifiers and announce on our school channels the winners in various fields such as entrepreneurship and sports and cultural aspects.

The Minister explained that the Ministry prepared a training package for students entitled “The Role of the School in Activating Citizenship” to introduce students to national projects and constitutional entitlements and to enhance their spirit of loyalty and belonging, which contributes to increasing students’ information about important issues related to their country and increasing their degree of awareness.

In his speech, Major General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Governor of Suez, praised the visit of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education to Suez Governorate, praising his efforts aimed at developing the educational system comprehensively.

The governor added that the governorate is making every effort to develop the educational process and achieve citizen satisfaction in the governorate. He also pointed to the collaborative role between the governorate and the ministry on the importance of developing awareness and the spirit of belonging and loyalty among students.
