The Minister of Education holds a meeting with directors of educational directorates to follow up on the regularity of the school
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with the directors of educational directorates in various governorates, to follow up on the educational process and review decisions and procedures related to developing the educational process, in the presence of Khaled Abdel Hakam, Head of the Central Administration for Educational Directorates Affairs, and Dr. Rabab Zidane, Director General of the Administration. General Educational Leadership Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the attendees, appreciating their efforts in controlling and organizing the new academic year, and adhering to all controls, regulations and ministerial decisions organizing the advancement and development of the educational process.
Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed that under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the first batch of the presidential initiative to select 1,000 school principals from competent and distinguished young teachers was graduated, and those who passed this program were awarded a diploma in educational leadership and national security, noting that These principals are the beginning of the desired change in school management and improving their performance.
The Minister explained that these teachers were trained through a concerned body, with the highest scientific and technical standards to select the best elements and human cadres for the positions of school principals, after passing comprehensive training and qualification that is appropriate to the nature of their work.
Dr. Reda Hegazy also confirmed that the Ministry is in the process of taking a set of measures, including issuing a ministerial decision to appoint these directors. He also directed the directors of educational directorates to qualify the schools that will witness the appointment of teachers from graduates of the presidential initiative, and to quickly distribute them to the schools of the Republic. He also stressed the importance of providing all Ways of support for them by educational department directors, stressing that there will be continuous follow-up to evaluate their performance.
In another context, Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed the necessity of developing the spirit of loyalty and belonging to students, as it is one of the most important lofty goals of education, noting that a training package will be implemented at the beginning of next November under the title “The Role of the School in Activating Citizenship among Students,” which targets school principals, Teachers, social workers, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Educational Administration, and the Secretary of the Student Union in the Educational Administration. It includes awareness of national projects and the achievements of the Egyptian state, the meaning of citizenship, positivity, and the exercise of rights, as well as the trainees implementing an executive plan to implement what was trained on.
Regarding the preparatory certificate exams, the Minister stressed on the directors of the educational directorates the need to immediately announce to each directorate the examination system, whether it is the Bucket system, or last year’s system, according to the circumstances of each directorate, while taking the necessary measures to prevent cheating in the exams.
Regarding the monthly tests for the educational stages of transfer, the Minister directed that these tests be allowed to be prepared inside the school, in coordination between school principals and educational departments.
Regarding school support groups, the Minister indicated that school support groups will be one of the tools for evaluating directorates of directorates and general directors of departments, directing that all means of support be provided to students in these groups, and the provision of distinguished and famous teachers, and appropriate halls, in addition to the students’ freedom to choose teachers.
The Minister also directed to educate students and introduce them to the educational and training materials that the Ministry makes available on its official website, which include explanations, questions, tests, and links to educational videos for the various curricula, stressing the importance of announcing this link on the Ministry’s website for students in various schools in the Republic. This is to help them achieve academic achievement.
During the meeting, Dr. Reda Hegazy issued a number of directives, stressing the continuation of activating absenteeism for the various educational stages, especially the preparatory and secondary school certificate stages, and working to attract students to schools by implementing various competitions and activities, pointing also to the keenness to continue implementing viewing periods for educational channels. The Minister also stressed the continuation of the field follow-up role of educational directorates and departments, to follow up on the discipline of work and the regularity of studies in all schools. In order to provide distinguished educational service in all educational institutions.
The Minister also stressed the need to ensure the availability of the highest levels of security and safety means for students and all workers in educational institutions, in order to preserve their safety, and to follow up on periodic maintenance work through the reports of the maintenance person in each school.
