"Education" signs a cooperation protocol with "Edumeter Egypt" on the organization of international scientific competitions

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education signed a joint cooperation protocol with Idiometer Egypt regarding the organization of international scientific competitions.

On behalf of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Megahed, Deputy Minister for Technical Education, and Eng. Ahmed Mohamed Mohamed Hassaballah, General Manager of Idiometer Egypt.

In the presence of Dr. Randa Shaheen, head of the Central Department of Public Education, and Dr. Mahmoud Ramadan, CEO of the company.

Dr. Mohamed Megahed stressed that this protocol came within the framework of the ministry’s plan to prepare students capable of creativity, scientific thinking, and competitiveness with their peers from all over the world, and in light of Egypt’s vision (2030), which aims to prepare a student capable of competitiveness, discrimination, and creativity.

For his part, Eng. Ahmed Mohamed Mohamed Hassaballah, General Manager of Idiometer Egypt, confirmed that signing this protocol with the Ministry of Education came out of the company’s belief in the national role entrusted to it. To help provide opportunities for competition for the Egyptian student globally, and to improve the educational process, and his desire to form and prepare Egyptian national generations capable of representing Egypt in international forums and scientific competition.

Dr. Randa Shaheen, head of the Central Department for Public Education, explained that this protocol aims to contribute to achieving the third strategic goal in the education axis, in the state’s plan for sustainable development (2030), and contribute to improving Egypt’s ranking in global scientific competitions, in addition to achieving sustainable development for the project, and choosing rehabilitation of Egyptian minds; To represent the Arab Republic of Egypt in international scientific forums, in addition to discovering scientifically distinguished male and female students; To enroll them in training programs and sponsor all international scientific competitions offered by the second party.

The protocol stipulates that the Ministry of Education sponsors all international scientific competitions offered by the company, and forms a coordinating committee to supervise and manage competitions, international tests in schools, apply principles of assurance and seriousness, and confidentiality of tests, in addition to publishing international scientific competitions, and raising awareness of their goals in all schools of the Republic, and all stages and classes.

The protocol also stipulates that Idiometer will hold workshops for the Coordinating Committee for the Management of Scientific and International Competitions, in coordination with providing technical support to the Coordinating Committee of the project, and make a full presentation for school officials and coordinators at the beginning of each academic year; To indicate all international competitions that are organized, and how to participate in them.

Among the provisions of this protocol (the scope of the work of this protocol) was the establishment and organization of international scientific competitions, such as: [International Kangaroo Mathematics - International Kangaroo Linguistics - International English Language Olympiad (HIPPO) - Singapore competitions affiliated with (SIMCC), ... etc.], This is for Egyptian students from the first grade of primary school to the third grade of secondary school.
