The Ministry of Education reviews its efforts to expand and establish schools in North Sinai Governorate
Within the framework of North Sinai Governorate's celebrations of its National Day and the 41st anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education is reviewing its efforts in the field of developing the educational system and expanding schools in the governorate.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education pays great attention to North Sinai Governorate, as it puts accessibility at the forefront of its priorities for all its students, and it also works to provide a distinguished educational service, and for this reason it has carried out many new constructions and expansions in schools, while rehabilitating and equipping a number of schools to serve its students in the governorate. .
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education, through the General Authority for Educational Buildings, laid the foundation stone for Al-Tulul Al-Bahariya School, with a number of (9) classes, due to the region’s need for such kind of education and the graduation of students trained to exploit the beaches of Sinai, which provides new job opportunities.
The Ministry has also opened many schools, including the Martyr Mujahid Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Ghoul Official Language School, in the Al-Sabil neighborhood in Arish, with (28) classes, to serve the Al-Masa’id and Al-Sabil area. The Youssef Al-Siddiq School for Basic Education has also been opened in the “Build Your Home Golf” neighborhood in the city of Arish, with (22) classrooms. Essential, in order to reduce the density of neighboring schools and enable the people of the area to settle and build in this area.
Today, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, inaugurated Al-Shallaq Preparatory School after its rehabilitation, and also opened Al-Ma’ana School for Basic Education after its total replacement.
In the field of returning villages, the Ministry has maintained and rehabilitated (8) schools in the Bir al-Abd center and a school in Sheikh Zuweid, and the works were completed in record time due to the speedy reception of our students and the stability of the families in their places.
The Ministry has also carried out maintenance and rehabilitation of (9) schools in Sheikh Zuweid, and a school in Bir al-Abd this year, as the rehabilitation of these schools has been completed and students were received on the first day of school.
In the field of the investment plan, the Ministry, from 2014 to 6/30/2022, received (83) projects with (841) chapters, and in the period from 7/1/2022 to date, (9) projects were received with (143) chapters. ) chapter, and work is currently underway with (19) projects with a number of (158) chapters, and (3) schools with a total of 33 chapters are being offered.
In the field of education, the Ministry has provided all types of education in North Sinai Governorate, where the Egyptian-Japanese School was established last year with (14) classrooms, and work is underway to establish a STEM school with (9) residency classes, and the implementation rate is 17%.
Work is also underway to establish an international public school in the Land of the Outstanding Schools complex, with an implementation rate of 25% and 14 classrooms.
In the framework of the Ministry's interest in people of determination, the Bir al-Abd school for special education is currently underway, with (13) classrooms, audio and visual, which are included in the plan of the General Authority for Educational Buildings 2023/2024, with (14) classrooms for each school.
In the field of establishing educational departments, the Ministry has established departments (Bir al-Abd - Nakhl - Hasna - Sheikh Zuwayed), and preparations are underway for the new Arish administration in the Al-Obeidat neighborhood.
With regard to urban gatherings, the Ministry, immediately after starting the implementation of the new Rafah city, built the Rafah School for Basic Education with a number of (33) classrooms. The Ministry will also build many schools in Rafah as soon as the land is allocated.
Schools are being established (Al-Kharouba for basic education 11 classes - Abu Faraj for education 22 classes - Al-Awaida for basic education 22 classes).
The Ministry is currently examining all schools that have been established for more than 15 years, as schools that need maintenance will be included in maintenance plans, and schools that need replacement will be included in replacement plans.
