Pre-university and technical education.. Egypt advances 19 places on the global knowledge index to reach 53rd place
Egypt has made progress on the Global Knowledge Index, advancing 19 positions from last year, to reach the 53rd position in pre-university education, according to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education, participated in a panel discussion from UNICEF entitled A New Vision for Education: Digital Learning for Every Child by 2030.
The main objective of the session was to highlight the extent of marginalization of groups (girls, children living in rural areas, children on the move, etc.) through digital learning solutions, and to demonstrate change at scale by integrating digital learning into education including frontier technology, as well as highlighting How to establish partnerships between the public and private sectors and with teachers.
During the celebration of the launch of the Knowledge Index at the Expo Dubai, the Egyptian State and Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education, congratulated the great progress in the international classification of education.
The Global Knowledge Index is one of the fruits of the partnership between the Regional Office for Arab States of the United Nations Development Program and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, and has been issued annually since 2017.
By tracking the knowledge performance of countries, the index draws a road map to advance the process of knowledge and development by setting forward-looking strategies aimed at bridging knowledge gaps and promoting the development of inclusive knowledge societies.
