The Minister of Education and the Governor of Suez witness the final activities of the "Egypt Schools Olympiad" under the slogan "Together we grow" in Suez Governorate
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Abdel Majid Saqr, witnessed the activities of the final of the “Egypt Schools Olympiad” competition under the slogan “Together we grow” at the Suez National Team Stadium in Suez Governorate, in cooperation with our school channels, as this competition comes within the initiatives of the Ministry Education, to revive student activity, and discover talents in schools.
This came in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, and Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities.
Dr. Reda Hegazy confirmed, in his intervention during the events, that the "Egypt Schools Olympiad" competitions achieved a qualitative leap in education in Egypt, indicating that these competitions show the advantage of each student, shaping his personality and developing his skills, in addition to developing and strengthening his social values.
He added that the Ministry's goal and mission for the educational system has been achieved with these students, indicating that today we are reaping its fruits by returning the school to its basic role and applying students to various activities, whether sports, artistic and cultural activities, as well as developing skills and innovation of students, which pushes towards achieving Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030.
During the events, the Minister witnessed the development projects competition, where a summary video was shown about the various projects that participated in the competition.
The final match took place between the team of the new Suez Secondary School for girls and its project "Your Nature Distinguishes You" to raise awareness against bullying in Suez schools, against the team of Mostafa Mosharafa Preparatory School for boys and its project entitled "Our Playgrounds".
The final arbitration committee included Eng. Amal Mabadi, Head of the Resource Development Sector at Misr El Kheir Foundation, President of the Egyptian and Arab Federation for Intellectual Disabilities, and founder of the idea (They are capable of differently), and Dr. Mohamed Al-Aqabi, Advisor to the Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Professor of Sociology at Helwan University, Secretary General of the Good Makers Foundation and Secretary General of the Foundation. "Fahim" for psychological support, and Mr. Mohsen Sarhan, CEO of the Food Bank.
Each of the students explained his project, and what their project presents for school students to benefit from, as the secondary school students for girls and their project against bullying confirmed that they decided to take a positive step and start from schools that graduate new generations, in order to ensure the creation of a generation capable of confronting bullying and ridicule. And promoting "beautify with morals" values such as cooperation, friendship and other values.
As for the student team of Mostafa Mosharafa School and their project "Our Playgrounds", they reviewed the goal of the project, as they confirmed that the idea of their project came through developing their school and exploiting the spaces in the school to practice sports activities, after the end of the school day and during the vacation period with the experimental start in one of the schools during The month of Ramadan with a Ramadan cycle.
The jury discussed the two teams and asked a number of questions about their projects, and the jury announced that it would be the official sponsor for the implementation of these two projects.
The Secretary-General of the Good Makers Foundation stated that he is studying the projects submitted by students, which number 16, by choosing one of these projects and financing it with an amount of 100,000 pounds.
The "Fahem" Foundation also announced support for the initiative of the new Suez Secondary School for Girls, "Your Nature Distinguishes You", to raise awareness against bullying, and to provide specialists in psychology to provide psychological support.
The jury declared the result of winning both projects.
The minister commented on the Mostafa Mosharafa School project and their project on “Our Playgrounds” that the ministry will support this project. As for the new Suez Secondary School project for girls, the minister affirmed the adoption of this initiative and a plan to implement it in cooperation with the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood.
The governor of Suez also announced the provision of a school within each district of the governorate, with multiple playgrounds for all games, provided that part of the revenue from these schools is to maintain and equip playgrounds for other schools.
The celebration also included the presentation of a video for the recreational sports competition, and the result was announced, with the victory of the New Suez Secondary School for Girls team and its final grades in the competition.
The minister and the governor also witnessed a general knowledge competition between the New Suez Secondary School for Girls against the Nabawiya Musa Preparatory School. Questions included general culture, in addition to questions about awareness. The team of the Nabawiya Musa Preparatory Joint School won this competition.
Dr. Reda Hegazy expressed his happiness and pride in these students, and praised their projects, as he thanked them, parents, teachers and everyone who participated in the activities of the Egypt Schools Olympiad.
