"Education" witnesses the graduation ceremony of the first batch of students from Electro Egypt School of Applied Technology
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education, Schneider Electric Company, Education Life Fund, French Agency, and the European Institute for Cooperation and Development celebrated the graduation of the first class of students from Electro Egypt School of Applied Technology.
Dr. Mohamed Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education Affairs welcomed the attendees, and thanked on behalf of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, all students and members of the Teaching Committee, Schneider Company, Hayat Education Fund, and the European Institute for Cooperation and Development, for their fruitful cooperation with The Ministry and the graduation of the first batch of students from Electro Egypt School of Applied Technology with a success rate of 100% in the total of the first and second rounds.
Mujahid added that these students are the nucleus of change for society's perspective on technical employment, as society's view of technical employment will not change unless there is evidence on the ground that proves the efforts made by the Ministry to develop the skills of technical education graduates, and provide a new definition for students of technical education in Egypt, through Implementation of an integrated educational system based on a competent teacher and a student who is passionate about learning, and new curricula based on the merits system that combines the theoretical and practical aspects, and periodic evaluation processes, in addition to the participation of industrial partners in all of the above processes of selecting students and teachers, preparing curricula, and periodic and continuous evaluation for students and teachers; This is with the aim of graduating qualified students to join the labor market upon their graduation, and who are able to advance the wheel of industrial development in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
In a related context, Dr. Amr Basileh, Head of the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education and Director of the Applied Technology Schools Operation and Management Unit, said that the Ministry is following up, through the Employment Department of the Applied Technology Schools Operation and Management Unit, the paths of graduates of applied technology schools, where all graduates of applied technology schools are available a number of Of the paths after graduation, such as the possibility of joining the labor market directly, or joining universities of technology or technical institutes, or Egyptian universities after conducting an equivalency.
Basileh added that the application of international standards in teaching methods, training, assessment and curricula that graduates of Electro Egypt School of Applied Technology received for free over the three years, like their peers from schools of applied technology, was taken into account, in addition to providing training opportunities for them at the highest level at Schneider Electric Company and Schneider Electric Company. Eng. Seif El-Demerdash, Vice President of Schneider Electric for the commercial sector and residential products, said that the company's support for the development of the school included, in addition to providing products, the development of technical education programs for technicians in the electricity and energy sector, in addition to the fact that the company provides students with practical training opportunities in its factory in Badr City and its partner factories. Dr. Noria Masdo, Director of the European Institute for Cooperation and Development in Egypt, said that the celebration of the graduation of the first class from Electro Egypt School of Applied Technology is a continuation of the success of the continuous and fruitful cooperation that has been taking place between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the European Institute for Cooperation and Development since July 2016, through which the Institute aims The European Union aims to support the state’s efforts in developing the skills of our students, students of technical education and vocational training, and to involve the private sector and companies in developing their skills to keep pace with the needs of the labor market.
