Minister of Education witnesses the honoring ceremony of the of graduates of the Elsewedy Technical Academy
Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, witnessed today the honoring ceremony of the eleventh batch of graduates of the Elsewedy Technical Academy for the academic year 2023/2024, in various specializations, with a total of 540 male and female students, organized by the Elsewedy Electric Foundation at the Foundation's headquarters in the Fifth Settlement.
This came in the presence of Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharkia, Dr. Khaled El-Enany, former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Eng. Ahmed El-Sewedy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of El-Sewedy Electric Foundation, Eng. Sadek El-Sewedy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of El-Sewedy Electric Foundation, Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din El-Basal, Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Development and Director of the Applied Technology Schools Management Unit, Hanan El-Rihani, Secretary General of El-Sewedy Electric Foundation and CEO of El-Sewedy Technical Academy, and success partners from the CEOs representing the academic and technical partners, and executive leaders from El-Sewedy Electric Foundation.
At the beginning of his speech, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif expressed his happiness to participate in this ceremony to honor the graduates of El-Sewedy Technical Academy, stressing the provision of all forms of support to them, and the renewal of the state's commitment to them, believing that they are the opportunity and promising future of this country.
The Minister of Education said: "What we are witnessing today is a documentation of the great efforts that have been made, and the fruits of projects that have been implemented after their philosophy was built; to create different generations through educational institutions with real participation between the government and the private sector; to contribute together to building the renaissance of this country, especially after the state paid full attention to upgrading the technical education system in Egypt."
The Minister pointed out that the Swedish Technical Academy is witnessing, today, the graduation of a generation that is the product of an integrated educational system that combines theoretical knowledge and practical training, stressing that this methodology on which such academies are based is a distinguished experience; to link education to the labor market and its requirements, which in turn is witnessing rapid changes that require constant and continuous preparation.
The Minister explained that advanced technologies and artificial intelligence bring us new horizons today that require us to prepare and build generations for a future in which the description of illiteracy has gone beyond digital illiteracy to software illiteracy.
Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif addressed a message to the graduates, saying: "Today, I am honored to participate in your ceremony as you are on the threshold of a new chapter in your lives, facing a future full of challenges, full of opportunities, and worthy of hard work. It is certain that the skills and knowledge you have acquired during your studies are the cornerstone for building a path, and I call upon you to adhere to your moral values and national responsibility. Continue your pursuit of learning and excellence, be sincere in your intentions, strive for your goals, and leave a legacy worthy of you."
At the end of his speech, the Minister extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Eng. Ahmed El-Sewedy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of El-Sewedy Electric Foundation, for his efforts in supporting the technical education system in Egypt. He also thanked all those in charge of this educational institution, and the parents and families of the graduates, partners in success and giving.
In his speech, Eng. Ahmed El-Sewedy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of El-Sewedy Electric Foundation, welcomed Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and the attendees, expressing his happiness to be present at this event; to graduate a new batch from El-Sewedy Technical Academy, which includes top students in the Republic, and top students in Sharkia Governorate.
Eng. Ahmed El-Sewedy stressed the importance of investing in workers and technicians, which helps in development in countries such as Germany, noting that El-Sewedy Foundation aims to reach 25,000 students, thanking the partners and supporters of El-Sewedy Technical Foundation and the supporters of the students.
For his part, Eng. Sadek El-Sewedy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of El-Sewedy Electric Foundation, and CEO of El-Sewedy Industries, expressed his happiness with this ceremony, stressing that the future of this country lies in technical education and its advancement, and thanking all the permanent supporters of the academy for years.
During the ceremony, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif honored the top students from the graduates who achieved distinguished academic and practical achievements.
The ceremony included a presentation of inspiring success stories of students from the Al-Suwaidi Technical Academy presented by Hassan Ashraf, a person of determination, where he reviewed in sign language his success story at the Al-Suwaidi Academy, his participation in many events, and the values, self-confidence, and motivation he gained to continue. In addition, a presentation by Ihab Moamen and Mariam Abdel Aziz, graduates of the Al-Suwaidi Academy, spoke about the training they received at the Al-Suwaidi Company through the employment forum organized by the Academy after their graduation and how they developed their personalities as a result of the Academy’s support and care for people of determination, integration, development, and investment in people. During the ceremony, a documentary film was shown about the Al-Suwaidi Technical Academy, which included the Academy’s capacity of 7,000 students, and how it places girls’ education within its educational plan and its interest in integration, in addition to providing training and employment opportunities for graduates.
