The Minister of Education witnesses a symposium entitled “Entrepreneurship League”)

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, participated in a symposium entitled “Entrepreneurship League,” which is being held on the sidelines of the Cairo International Technology Exhibition “Cairo ICT” for the year 2023, which is held during the period from November 19 to November 22, 2023.

The symposium included a panel discussion in which Dr. Eman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, Dr. Mohamed Fathi, Director of the Entrepreneurship League Project, Mohamed Nagati, an entrepreneur and investor in the technology sector, the student Malak Wael at the Suez Modern School, and the student Youssef Samir, founder of the company (Tap Tag), participated. It reviewed the “Entrepreneurship League Project” to be launched after its approval by Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, which aims to discover pioneering projects for students in entrepreneurship at the republic level, adopt them, and invest in their abilities.

It is scheduled to launch a website for the Entrepreneurship League project, which will allow all schools in Egypt to participate in this event, and for students to participate in presenting their ideas and creativity.

It was also emphasized during the symposium that these students will become the engine of the economy in the future, which requires the importance of supporting these successful students to ensure their continuity.

The symposium witnessed a review of the experience of the participating students, how they raised awareness of entrepreneurship and how the Ministry adopted their projects, how to benefit from building their personalities and aspirations in implementing their projects, and how to implement their idea to become a reality through these projects.

Commenting on the words of the attendees participating in the symposium, Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed that the Ministry of Education aims to prepare generations capable of success in the future, indicating that keeping up with modern technology and exploiting it in developing the educational system is one of the most important mechanisms that the Ministry focuses on in parallel with developing all other aspects of the system. .

The minister explained that the Egyptian state aims for the learner to have a passion for learning, a love of curiosity, taking responsibility, and the ability to produce knowledge and self-development, and not to jump on results, stressing that success leads to excellence, which in turn contributes to the development of skills, competencies, and entrepreneurship.

The Minister pointed out the importance of life skills such as self-confidence, self-esteem, and presentation skills, as well as mental and mental skills such as having a future vision and how to connect topics with each other, critical thinking, deduction, and creativity.

The Minister also emphasized self-learning, providing students with major concepts and then searching for details to achieve knowledge production and creative activity.

Dr. Reda Hegazy indicated that the Ministry is working to complete the development of educational curricula, noting that the development of the primary stage curricula has been completed, and the transition has been made to developing the preparatory stage curricula, completing them and starting their implementation during the academic year 2024/2025, which will keep pace with digital transformation and the knowledge explosion, as Concepts, including entrepreneurship, have been introduced into the curricula in a cross-cutting manner.

This came in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, Dr. Jihan Kamal, Assistant Minister for Educational Research, Dr. Ramadan Mohamed Ramadan, Assistant Minister for Examinations and Educational Evaluation, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Planning and Follow-up, and Dr. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for Administrative Development and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office. Dr. Iman Sabry, Advisor to the Minister for Special Education, Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development, Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, Dr. Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Development and Director of the Operation and Management Unit of Applied Technology Schools, and Dr. Mohamed Emara, Head of the Central Administration for Schools. It is worth noting that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education is participating with a pavilion to display the Ministry’s efforts in digital transformation in the educational system, at the “Cairo ICT” exhibition, which is the largest technology event held annually in Cairo, and is also considered a platform for displaying and discussing the latest developments in the field of information technology.
