As part of a series of measures taken by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to regulate the educational process, the Ministry announced today, Saturday, all the details related to the distribution of evaluation grades for one semester at a rate of (100%) for each subject for the first and second grades of secondary school, starting from the new academic year 2024/2025.

The Ministry explained that one semester includes two monthly tests, and the first month's test targets the parts of the curriculum that are taught in the first month of the beginning of each semester at a rate of 15% of the grades, and the test in the second month targets the parts of the curriculum that are taught in the second month of the beginning of each semester at a rate of 15%.

As for the end-of-semester tests (first - second), the Ministry confirmed that they target the learning outcomes in the entire semester and the student gets 30% of the total grade for the subject, so the total tests during one semester are 60% of the total grade for the subject.

Regarding the year's work, the ministry explained that it includes behavior and attendance at 10%, the class notebook and homework at 15%, and the weekly evaluation at 15%, so that the total year's work is 40% of the total grade for the subject.

The total grades of the student in each subject are calculated by multiplying the student's average grade by the maximum grade for the subject and dividing them by 100.
