Today, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, chaired the meeting of the Supreme Executive Committee for Schools of Excellence in Science and Technology STEM; To discuss the regularity of studies in these schools and to work to solve any problem that hinders the progress of the educational process.
Dr. Reda Hegazy affirmed the Ministry's keenness to regularize the educational process in STEM schools, and to expand the numbers of these schools, which aim to prepare students capable of design, creativity, innovation, and scientific and critical thinking, and provide them with collaborative learning skills, as well as research projects prepared by students in the field of Capstone projects, which are implemented by students in specific scientific topics that serve the community, and target the major challenges facing the Egyptian society.
The meeting reviewed the readiness of the new schools for the outstanding students to operate in the second semester, the readiness of the laboratories, and the use of experienced teachers.
The meeting also discussed the preparation for holding a project to support schools of the talented STESSA and a conference for students' achievements and projects and spreading the culture of the education system in schools.
It is worth noting that STEM schools are 19 government secondary schools nationwide, which were established with the latest practical equipment, advanced laboratories, equipped classrooms, and laboratories (chemistry, physics, biology, electronics, languages, hydraulics, and geology). , robotics, and computers), an innovation lab, dining halls, and study halls.
The meeting was attended by Major General Yusri Salem, Assistant Minister for the Affairs of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, Muhammad Attia, Head of the Central Administration for Education with Expenses, Brigadier General Tariq Al-Baz, Head of the Central Administration for Investment and Finance, Dr. Zainab Muhammad Khalifa, Director of the Professional Academy for Teachers, Khaled Abdel Hakam, Head of the Central Administration for Educational Dropout, and Major General Omar Hammad, representative of CareService, Major General Nir Hamdi, Deputy Director of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, Dr. Aziza Khalifa, Director of the STEM Unit, Dr. Reda Abu Saree, representative of the United States Agency for International Development, Dr. Hala Al-Serafy, representative of the United States Agency for International Development, and Mr. Ahmed Rizkallah, representative of the United States Agency for Development International, Dr. Tamer Al-Masry, Educational Research Center, and a number of ministry leaders and general managers of the development of academic subjects.
