Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, participated in the activities of reviewing the public expenditure report on the human development sectors, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, Dr. Ali Moselhi, Minister of Supply, and Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity.
In his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy welcomed the attendees, stressing that within the framework of rationalizing spending, it is necessary to build on the development that has been made in the educational field, and the ministry is now working to complete the state's plan to develop Egyptian education, which began in 2018, with the possibility of change in implementation mechanisms that make This development is real and felt by every Egyptian citizen.
Hegazy pointed out that rationalizing spending in the ministry includes maximizing the use of successful models in the Ministry of Education, such as: (Nile schools, STEM schools, Egyptian-Japanese schools, and international government schools).
The Minister also stressed that within this framework, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education cooperates with all ministries and relevant authorities; to build the Egyptian man; According to the strategy launched by the President of the Republic in 2018 at Cairo University, to name a few, the Ministry of Education cooperates with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in many areas; Including the discovery and care of the gifted. The Ministry of Education is also cooperating with the Ministry of Culture to enrich the artistic and cultural activities of students, in addition to cooperating with the Ministry of Social Solidarity in the issue of access and dropout from education, stressing that this integration achieves effectiveness and rationalizes spending.
He continued: "One of the urgent issues is working on evaluating development, noting that there is a national study prepared by the Ministry in cooperation with the World Bank to assess the level of our students, before and after the fourth grade of primary school, so that it has a diagnostic value through which we can treat deficiencies, as well as That there are questionnaires for teachers, parents and students.
He stressed the need to train teachers by increasing and developing their various skills and competencies, adding that the ministry follows the latest modern methods in budgets as one of the development mechanisms of the ministry’s plans with regard to finances, as for integration with organizations in civil society to participate in the eradication of illiteracy and dropout from Education The Ministry is concerned with these important issues.
Dr. Reda Hegazy directed, through a talk to the finance officials in the ministry, that the Egyptian government has embarked on developing education since 2018, through development and creativity and in light of the fourth industrial revolution and digital transformation, stressing the need to discover skills and competencies that help our students keep pace with development and prepare students for their participation. Dr. Reda Hegazy directed the need to celebrate and welcome new students at the beginning of the school year, and to provide all means that attract the student to school and achieve school discipline, stressing that the return of students to school in the new school year is a strategic goal because the school has an important social role in building the student’s personality in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030 .
