Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with Dr. Sahar El-Sonbaty, Head of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood; Ambassador Nabila Makram, Head of the Fahem Foundation for Psychological Support; and Dr. Abdel Nasser Omar, founder of Al-Mashfa Hospital, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and institutional coordination in preparation for launching an awareness campaign in cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, entitled "A Balanced Child... A Cohesive Society." The campaign aims to instill ethical principles and values ​​and raise awareness of mental health among students in schools, thus contributing to national efforts to build awareness within schools.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister; Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister; Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, Head of the Central Administration for General Education; Ms. Miray Nassim, Member of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood; and Ms. Lamis Negm, Treasurer of the Fahem Foundation for Psychological Support.

During the meeting, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the various organizations. The Minister praised the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood's efforts in protecting children's rights and supporting maternal issues, commending its pivotal role in raising community awareness and building an integrated system for protection and care. He emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and coordination to serve the best interests of Egyptian children and support the stability of the educational environment.

The Minister also commended the important role played by the Fahem Foundation for Psychological Support and Al-Mashfa Hospital in supporting the educational system and their efforts in promoting students' mental health and providing necessary community support. He affirmed that this integration between state institutions and civil society is a fundamental pillar for building a safe and balanced educational environment and a key support for the success of awareness initiatives within schools.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the current state of the educational process on the ground and the Ministry's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education and address the challenges facing the educational system. He pointed out the necessity for the awareness campaign within the educational field to target school principals, teachers, students, and parents, with its impact to be continuously measured to ensure the achievement of the desired results.

For her part, Dr. Sahar El-Sonbaty, President of the National Council, explained The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM) announced that it is finalizing and implementing clear protection policies within all facilities that deal with children, especially educational institutions, based on its role and national commitment as the national body responsible for protecting every child.

The Council affirmed that it is continuing its awareness campaigns and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about protecting children from all forms of violence and abuse, most notably the "Aware and Precious" campaign, launched at the beginning of the current academic year in cooperation with "Safe Egypt," to raise awareness about the dangers of harassment, bullying, and electronic games.

The Council emphasized that it will resume its campaign efforts within schools, aiming to reach the largest possible number of targeted children and their families, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. The Council commended the Ministry's significant efforts in developing the educational process.

The Council also stressed the importance of strengthening ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, and civil society, to ensure the integration of national efforts in supporting children's rights, building a safe and healthy learning environment, and promoting a system of values ​​and principles within schools.

The meeting also discussed ways to implement the awareness campaign. In partnership with the Ministry of Education, the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, the Fahem Foundation for Psychological Support, and Al-Mashfa Hospital, the initiative aims to instill values ​​and principles, safeguard children's mental health, and protect and support them. This will be achieved by focusing on raising awareness of the principles and values ​​included in the school curriculum, presenting them to students in the form of clear educational messages, and developing a practical model for their implementation. The initiative also includes training school principals, teachers, and psychologists on methods of providing psychological support and positive interaction with students.

The meeting also addressed mechanisms for delivering these messages within classrooms, as well as establishing methods for measuring the impact on student behavior and awareness, and evaluating the results.
