Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, inspected the practical and laboratory exams and the final evaluation at the Martyr Captain Ahmed Hussein Fahmy Military Industrial School for Boys of the East Nasr City Educational Administration, in order to check on the progress of the exams process for the diploma of technical schools.

During the visit, the minister was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Megahed, Deputy Minister for Technical Education, Dr. Mohamed Emara, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Schools, Head of the General Technical Diploma Examinations, Dr. Engineer Mohamed Abdel Maksoud, Director General of the General Administration of Industrial Education, and Dr. El-Sayed Hamed, responsible for competencies, evaluation and verification. And Dr. Khaled Abdo, Director General of Technical Education at the Directorate of Education in Cairo.

Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed the Ministry's keenness on the importance of developing the technical education and vocational training sector for its important role in supporting the Egyptian industry, in line with the directives of the political leadership to pay attention to developing all aspects of the technical education system, in accordance with international quality standards, and in a manner commensurate with the needs of the labor market. It contributes significantly to increasing productivity and improving the level of the Egyptian economy to drive development and construction.

Dr. Reda Hegazy inspected the car maintenance and repair workshop, where the test takes place in the subject (Auto Repair Maintenance Technician Program), according to the competencies methodology. the study.

The minister also inspected a maintenance and repair workshop for mechanical equipment during the test of the subject (Maintenance and Repair Mechanics) according to dual education and training.

The Minister also inspected a workshop for installations and electrical equipment, during the examination of the subject (vocational training) according to the dual education and training, and the Minister asked the students about the extent to which they benefited from their training inside the factories.

The minister also inspected the evaluation and internal verification room (competence control), and looked at the achievement files that contain documenting the skillful activities of students during the three years, where students are evaluated through a tripartite committee consisting of 2 experts specialized in the field of the profession from the ministry, and a representative of the labor market. Where achievement files are evaluated after the completion of practical skills tests for students.

Dr. Reda Hegazy praised the evaluation and achievement files, and the effort made, directed towards sustainability in this work and its development. He also directed the student to document his own work and experience within the school, and the best works.

It is worth noting that this year’s exams, according to the competence methodology, are held for the second year, in (23) governorates, with (44) committees, and the total number of students (9654) in (19) professions that have been developed according to the competencies actually required for the labor market. Participates in evaluating the skills of technical school graduates.

As for the Martyr Captain Ahmed Hussein Fahmy Military Industrial School, it operates through two systems: the first system is based on the merits methodology and the total number of third-grade students is (453) students through 11 professions, and the second system is based on dual education and training through 3 professions (car maintenance and repair, maintenance and repair of equipment, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment) and includes 54 students.
