The Minister of Education and Technical Education discusses with the Cultural Counselor of the German Embassy)

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received the Cultural Counselor Felix Halla, Head of the Cultural and Educational Department at the German Embassy in Cairo, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the mechanisms for implementing joint projects that contribute to developing the educational process and supporting education reform on an ongoing basis, as well as future cooperation opportunities.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif stressed the depth of fruitful and constructive cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany in all files of the educational process, praising the German schools in Egypt and their discipline and quality, in addition to the distinguished level of their graduates.

The Minister explained that the Ministry aims to expand the number of Egyptian-German schools in Egypt to reach 100 schools to represent a qualitative shift in education, as two schools will start, one in 6th of October and the other in Badr City, where the Ministry will provide buildings and logistical services, stressing the importance of supporting the German side in operation.

For his part, Mr. Felix Halla praised the development witnessed by Egypt in the educational process, expressing his aspiration to enhance cooperation with the Egyptian side to expand German schools in Egypt. He also stressed his country's keenness to continue strengthening the close German-Egyptian relations, with the aim of achieving an educational system that meets the needs of Egyptian society.

In this context, the meeting discussed continuing to support the training of German language teachers in cooperation with the German side, and developing curricula.

This was attended by Ms. Maha Wissa, Project Manager and Official in the Education and Culture Department at the German Embassy, ​​and from the Ministry, Ms. Sherine Hamdy, Advisor to the Minister for International Relations and Agreements, Ms. Mona Ayoub, Advisor to the Minister for the Egyptian-German Schools Initiative, and Counselor Ashraf El-Sayed, Legal Advisor to the Ministry.
