The Minister of Education holds a meeting of directorates of directorates to make final preparations for the exams for the general secondary stages)

Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with directors of educational directorates in various governorates, directorates’ agents, directors of general education, and directors of educational stages via the video conference network, to determine the final status of the directorates and educational administrations’ preparations for the end of the school year 2021/2022 exams.
This came in the presence of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Daher, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, Mohsen Abdel Aziz, Head of the Quality and Information Technology Sector, and Khaled Abdel Hakam, Head of the Central Administration for Secondary and Private Education.
Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education, followed up with the directors of the directorates the final position of the preparations for the exams, noting that a number of measures will be taken to eliminate fraud, reduce cheating methods, and seek to hold fair exams to serve the interests and rights of students.
The Minister announced that if there is any malfunction with the “tablet” device for students of the first and second grades who have the right to take exams online (regulars, services, ..), while he is in the examination conduct committee, a status report signed by the school director and the development official is issued. They will be given another exam in the basic subjects over a period of three days, ten days at most after the end of the exams, and they have the right to repeat the exam on paper in the subject or subjects in which they failed, at the level of the educational administration.
He explained that for first and second grade students who do not have the right to take exams electronically (homes, educational integration, etc..) they are held fully paper-based exams, either (essay questions or multiple choice at the educational administration level, and the special rest period is not applied). For students who are scheduled to perform part of the exam electronically, which is in the announced schedule, and its duration is (15 minutes), and the first guide for each subject is responsible for developing the questions.
He stressed the necessity of the commitment of the gentlemen charged with developing essay questions - 30% for students who take the exam electronically - to take into account the relative weights of topics and learning outcomes as in the usual specifications.
He continued, "Examinations for non-basic subjects, fields, and high-level subjects are held on paper for all groups by secured and monitored committees at the school level. Examinations are held under the supervision of the educational administration, and without a concept paper."
The Minister explained that with regard to the exam for subjects that are not added to the total (religious education, national education, economics and statistics) for students of the third year of secondary school, it is held by monitoring and secured committees and within the examination schedule approved by the Babel Sheet system and without a concept paper.
The minister directed the necessity of managing exams for both the first and second grades in secondary and high schools in a good manner, wishing to create an easy atmosphere for students and to control and eliminate any case of cheating, noting that the electronic platform for the first and second grades is designed against cheating and it is difficult for students to penetrate the tablet and get out of the exam.
During the meeting, the Minister agreed to a proposal for the possibility of conducting an experimental electronic exam for the second grade of secondary school, during the days when the non-additional courses are held to ensure the presence of students by one hundred percent, and to examine the technological capabilities.
