"Education" holds the first conference of the Union of Students of the Republic Schools for the academic year 2021/2022

Today, in the Ministry’s video conference hall, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education held the first conference of the Students’ Union of Republic Schools for the 2021/2022 school year, which will take place on 28 and 29 March 2022 under the patronage and support of Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, in his belief in the role of student unions and building The integrated personality and unleashing its capabilities in order to prepare a student who is proud of himself, a creative student who accepts the other, who is proud of his country's history, and who is able to compete locally, regionally and globally.
Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers' Affairs, said in his speech that today's event is a form of democracy in education, and we must work on teaching democracy to enable students to have leadership skills and express opinion.
Hegazy pointed out that the giant projects that Egypt is undertaking must be known to the students and passed on among their colleagues, in order to develop their spirit of loyalty and belonging. To select the best that expresses the rest of the colleagues, wishing for a refined electoral process capable of creating young leaders capable of carrying out this work.
Major General Ahmed Abdel-Fattah, head of the Central Security Administration, expressed his happiness with this meeting, saying that these students are the builders of the modern nation and the future of the new republic, noting that the existence of a strong society depends on these students who deserve all care and attention, adding that this generation is more fortunate than Previous generations were characterized by technological development and ease of communication, wishing the students effective positive participation and honorable representation in these elections, as they have the skills of innovation, communication and the ability to learn.
Ahmed Moussa, the general leader of the Union of Students of the Republic Schools stressed that this conference comes in light of the central topic "Student Unions..citizenship and development," noting that the targets of these elections are all students who are members of the executive offices in the secondary stage of the educational directorates, and the mentors of the committees and the supervisory body. Moussa pointed out that activating the philosophy of student unions stems from the state's orientation to build the future "the new republic" and by maximizing efforts to develop education as a locomotive for development and real progress and to achieve optimal investment in human capital, which contributes to building and developing human beings in all fields to be a good citizen who possesses the skills Integrated life in order to prepare a generation of student leaders characterized by a spirit of initiative, creativity and innovation, and capable of practicing voluntary team work in order to achieve comprehensive development goals.
He stressed the role of democratic education in building personality, pointing out that democracy is practiced and not taught, and student unions are the legitimate channel for the formation of student leaders concerned with expressing the masses of Egyptian school students in preparing and integrating personality, by meeting the needs and creativity of students and enabling them to self-manage and how to plan for managing the reins their future life.
