Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry and the Education First Foundation to raise the professional competence of staff in public language schools and distinguished public language schools. This comes as part of the Ministry's commitment to strengthening partnerships with active civil society organizations and supporting efforts to develop public education.

The protocol was signed on behalf of the Ministry by Mr. Mohamed Attia, Head of the Central Administration for Expense-Based Education, and on behalf of the Foundation by Dr. Salma Al-Bakri, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Education First Foundation.

The signing of the protocol was witnessed on behalf of the Education First Foundation by Dr. Mahmoud Hamza, Executive Director of the Foundation, and Mr. Hesham Bassiouni, Treasurer of the Foundation.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif emphasized that this protocol falls within the context of the Ministry's vision to develop the education system by investing in developing the capabilities of teachers and raising their professional competence, as they are the essential element in the educational process.

The Minister praised the distinguished role played by the Education First Foundation in the field of training and capacity building, stressing that this cooperation represents a true contribution to the state's efforts to achieve quality education and advance the level of public language schools and distinguished public language schools.

The Minister also emphasized the importance of advance planning for training as a crucial factor in ensuring the achievement of the desired goals of teacher capacity development. He pointed to the need to expedite the implementation of training plans without delay, as well as the importance of integrating the digital component into training programs to enhance teachers' competence.

For her part, Dr. Salma Al-Bakri expressed her deep appreciation for the Ministry of Education's efforts to develop the education system, noting that the cooperation with the Ministry reflects the Education First Foundation's belief in the importance of integration between state institutions and civil society to achieve sustainable development in the education sector.

She emphasized that the protocol represents a real opportunity to support teachers and provide them with the skills and expertise necessary to keep pace with educational developments, contributing to improving student achievement and raising the quality of education in public language schools and distinguished public language schools.
