Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held the first preparatory meetings to discuss all topics related to the launch of the national conference on community dialogue on developing the secondary school system.

Dr. Reda Hegazy confirmed that, in continuation of the process of developing the education system that began by developing the primary stage and its curricula in accordance with international standards, the general framework for developing the preparatory stage curricula has been established, which is scheduled to be implemented beginning in the academic year 2024/2025, praising the efforts of the central administration for curriculum development. The minister said that the launch of the national conference on community dialogue on developing secondary stage curricula comes based on the assignments of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to bring together all parties related to the educational system locally and internationally to listen and discuss all opinions to reach the best mechanisms for developing the secondary stage system in order to achieve For the benefit of students and alleviating the suffering of families, in a manner consistent with the requirements of the labor market and international competitiveness.

Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed that the general vision for developing the secondary stage system is based on giving the student more than one opportunity through multiple assessment attempts, as well as educational acceleration, as well as the importance of multiple tracks and the freedom to choose between tracks in a way that suits each student, his inclinations and abilities.

The Minister explained that the Ministry is keen to provide a good product for the student, and prepare the student to be able to compete, with an emphasis on taking into account the current circumstances and the current situation of schools, as well as preparing the teacher in a manner commensurate with the development.

In preparation for the conference, Dr. Reda Hegazy issued several assignments, including preparing to review the national qualifications framework, preparing research on tracks at the world level, preparing an in-depth research study on the current situation of the high school system, as well as evaluating secondary school curricula and the future vision, and evaluating teachers’ performance. And evaluate the secondary education system, in addition to preparing a study on the university admission system in various countries of the world.
