"Education" signs a cooperation protocol to launch the first school of applied technology in Alexandria
Today, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education signed a cooperation protocol to launch the GIT School of Applied Technology, which is the first applied technology school specializing in the field of mechanical metal equipment manufacturing, in Borg El Arab, Alexandria Governorate, for the academic year 2021/2022.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education Affairs, and Dr. Sherif Abdel Ghaffar, General Manager of GIT International Group of Companies, in the presence of Dr. Amr Basilah, Head of the Central Administration for Technical Education Development and Director of the Applied Technology Schools Administration Unit.
Dr. Muhammed Mujahid said that the Ministry launched the Applied Technology Schools model three years ago as a new model for advanced technical education and the private sector and the public business sector participate in its development based on their societal responsibility towards the homeland, in addition to the benefit that will accrue to them and the Egyptian industry from Qualifying qualified technical cadres capable of meeting the needs of the labor market.
Mujahid pointed to the state’s intention to make a breakthrough in the production of industrial machinery and auto parts. Accordingly, the Ministry signed a cooperation protocol with GIT to launch a school, GIT for Applied Technology in Alexandria Governorate, which is specialized in the fields of industrial machinery production, metal forming and machining, design, installation and maintenance of electrical control circuits for industrial machines, operation and programming of production machines, programming and information systems. Electronic, welding technology.
For his part, Dr. Amr Basilah emphasized that the ministry is moving towards the pace of expansion and increasing the number of applied technology schools in various governorates of Egypt and the inclusion of more specializations needed by the Egyptian labor market. Basilah explained that the number of applied technology schools has now reached 20 schools of applied technology, with 7 Various governorates, including various specializations and fields such as maintenance and repair of cars, metal forming and operating, programming and electronic information systems, in addition to technology for jewelry and jewelry making, agriculture and irrigation technology, animal and poultry production technology, in addition to artificial intelligence technology, monitoring and warning, digital games, and arts Digital, as well as the fields of technology for installing and operating lighting devices, technology for installing and operating sound devices, technology for installing and operating imaging devices, technology of deception and technical effects, and other fields that are applied for the first time in Egypt.
Basilah concluded that soon, the opening of the application window for teachers to join the aforementioned school team will be announced. As for students, the conditions and criteria for admission to the school will be announced immediately after the results of the preparatory certificate appear.
For his part, Dr. Sherif Abdel Ghaffar, General Director of the GIT International Group and the Executive Director of the German company GIT, said that the company will work on qualifying graduates who have a lot of professional experience in addition to striving for their mastery of three languages, which are Arabic, English and German. The hands of international experts, especially the Germans, to raise their functional and professional experiences during the study, and he added that it is possible to organize the transfer of students to visit the most important schools, factories and international industrial fairs, especially German, to raise their technical and technological expertise to provide them with international skills, and this item is for outstanding students according to the daily technical reports of all students of the school.
