Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, inspected today the Nile Secondary School for Girls, which is affiliated to the Old Cairo Educational Administration; To monitor the progress of the educational process for the new academic year 2022/2021.
The Minister congratulated the female students on the new academic year, wishing them all success, success and excellence, stressing the ministry’s keenness to organize the study in schools in attendance this year, amid the implementation of strict measures, to prevent the outbreak of the new Corona virus, to preserve the lives and safety of students, teachers and those in charge of the educational process, without obstacles.
The Minister was keen to inspect the school’s classrooms, laboratories, and the library, and the students discussed the regularity of the educational process this year, and the return from their attendance. The Minister praised the attendance rate during the inspection of a class for third-grade students, as the students emphasized the importance of attendance, and their keenness to benefit from the teachers’ explanation.
Dr. Tarek Shawky directed the students to follow up on the various study sources, including the “Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), the LMS learning management platform, the Egypt Classes platform, our school channel (1) and our school (2), pointing out that all of these means provide explanations, interactive questions and final curricula reviews for the stage. The secondary school is provided by the most qualified teachers free of charge in cooperation with a number of international institutions.
During the visit, the minister stressed the need to achieve administrative discipline within schools and to apply rules of attendance and absence to students and teachers, with an emphasis on following all security, safety and prevention measures inside schools, as well as carrying out disinfection and sterilization work in schools and following up on their hygiene to protect students and prevent the spread of the new Corona virus. .
At the end of the tour, the Minister of Education praised the teachers’ performance and their keenness to use various educational means, and to preserve the health and safety of our students.
It is worth noting that the Nile Secondary School for Girls consists of 24 classrooms, equipped with interactive boards, the number of students is 710, and it has 7 rooms for practicing educational activities, in addition to a language lab, and attached to the school is a video conference room.
The Minister was accompanied during the tour by Major General Yousry Abdullah, Director of the General Authority for Educational Buildings, Mohamed Attia, Director of the Education Directorate in Cairo, and Yasser Omar, Director of the Old Cairo Administration.
