A cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Education and the Young Leaders Foundation (YLF))

Under the auspices of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education signed a joint cooperation protocol with the Young Leaders Foundation (YLF) regarding the development of leadership skills among school student unions nationwide. The goal is to create a creative generation of leaders capable of social, political, and administrative leadership and of facing the challenges of the future.

The protocol was signed by Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, and Representative Ahmed Fathy, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees. The signing ceremony was attended by Shadi Zalta, Media Advisor and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry; Mr. Ahmed Moussa, Director General of the General Union of Egyptian School Students; Dr. Osama Hisham, Advisor to the Board of Trustees of the Youth Leaders; Dr. Ahmed Hossam, Director of the Youth Programs at the Foundation; Abdullah Armesh, Head of the Republic's School Leaders Program; and Mohamed Gamal, Program Coordinator.

During the protocol signing ceremony, Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, emphasized that, based on the directives of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, to invest in students' energies, develop their capabilities, and identify and nurture promising leaders, the Ministry is working to discover, refine, and encourage students' talents, abilities, and skills. It also supports and advances students' sports, scouting, social, artistic, and cultural activities, and enhances the use of students' energies in community service, benefiting the nation.

She explained that this protocol is the result of joint efforts between the Ministry and the Young Leaders Foundation, adopting a new vision that contributes to enhancing education and developing young leaders. Proactive steps were taken and preliminary sessions were organized to ensure an effective implementation mechanism for the protocol. She expressed hope that it will yield positive results that will impact the field for the benefit of our future leaders.

In this context, Representative Ahmed Fathy emphasized the Young Leaders Foundation's commitment to seeking young leaders to develop their skills, working to find sustainable solutions for community development, and creating new generations capable of social, political, and administrative leadership. This is achieved by training these young Egyptians to lead in various fields to achieve real and sustainable development.

Representative Ahmed Fathy expressed his thanks and appreciation to Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education, for his continued support for the idea of ​​student activities and the role of the union in building the Egyptian student. He also expressed his gratitude to the Central Administration for Student Activities, emphasizing that this cooperation is a continuation of the successes achieved through the partnership with the Ministry.

The importance of the protocol lies in its commitment to creating a creative generation capable of facing future challenges and developing leadership capabilities among young people, enabling them to disseminate the principles and objectives of student unions and practice sound democratic life through the implementation of the Republic's School Leaders Program.

The protocol aims to identify, train, and qualify school students to become leaders in their communities. The program consists of three main phases: the assessment phase, the training phase, and the project implementation phase. It also targets members of the Egyptian Schools Student Union Council, representing 25 million male and female students across the country's schools. It also aims to raise students' awareness of the important role of student unions and civil society institutions, highlight the state's efforts in the education sector, and outline areas of cooperation between the union's committees, ministries, and relevant authorities.
