The Ministry of Education concludes the Republic Schools Championship for Group Games “Boys/Girls”

Under the patronage of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education concluded the Republic School Championship for group games (volleyball/handball/basketball/football) for the three stages of boys and girls, within the framework of organizing the Republic School Championships for the academic year. 2023/2024.

The Central Administration for Student Activities organized this tournament in the presence of Dr. Jehan, Director General of the General Administration of Sports and Military Education, and employees of the Department of Sports Education.

Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities, confirmed that these tournaments aim to encourage students to practice sports, and through them highlight, nurture and pay attention to distinguished sporting talents, noting that these tournaments are among the tournaments that award degrees of sports motivation, where first place gets a 8 degrees, the second 6 degrees, the third 5 degrees, and the fourth 3 degrees.

The total number of boys students participating in group games was 1,914 students in the three educational stages.

The results of the group school handball tournaments at the Muslim Youth School in Banha, Qalyubia, were the first place won by the Cairo Governorate team (A), the second place by the Giza Governorate team (B), the third place by the Alexandria Governorate team (A), and the fourth place by the Dakahlia Governorate team (B). .

While the football results came in, the Cairo Governorate (A) team won first place, the Cairo Governorate (B) team won second place, the Alexandria Governorate team won third place, and the Kafr El Sheikh Governorate team won fourth place.

The basketball results were: first place was won by the Giza Governorate team (B), second place was won by the Cairo Governorate team (A), third place was won by the Sharkia Governorate team, and fourth place was won by the Alexandria Governorate A team.

While the volleyball result was first place for the Cairo Governorate team (A), second place for the Giza Governorate team (B), third place for the Dakahlia Governorate team, and fourth place for the Minya Governorate team.

In the same context, the Republic Schools Championship for group games (volleyball/handball/basketball/football) was held for the girls’ secondary stage at the Gezira Youth Center and the Lycée Liberty School in Nozha, and the number of participating female students reached 2,000.

The teams from the governorates of (Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Qalyubia, Menoufia, Dakahlia, Sharqia, Minya, Port Said, Qena, Gharbia, and Damietta) participated in the tournament.

In the football game, the Giza Governorate team (A) won first place, the Alexandria Governorate team (B) won second place, the Qalyubia Governorate team won third place, and the Alexandria Governorate team (A) won fourth place.

In the handball game, the Cairo Governorate team (B) won first place, the Cairo Governorate team (A) won second place, the Alexandria Governorate team (A) won third place, and the Giza Governorate team (A) won fourth place.

In the volleyball game, the Cairo Governorate (B) team won first place, the Giza Governorate (A) team won second place, the Alexandria Governorate (A) team won third place, and the Cairo Governorate (A) team won fourth place.

In the basketball game, the Alexandria Governorate team (B) won first place, the Giza Governorate team (A) won second place, the Cairo Governorate team (B) won third place, and the Alexandria Governorate team (A) won fourth place.
