Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry organized, today, the inauguration ceremony of the Executive Office of the Council of Students Union of Republic Schools for the academic year 2021/2022.

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister for Teachers’ Affairs, expressed, in a speech on behalf of the minister, his happiness at attending the first conference to install the Executive Office of the Council of the General Union of Students of the Republic Schools; This is in order to uphold the values ​​of effective citizenship, consolidate the values ​​of freedom and human rights, and confirm the high civilized human ties, within the framework of the first democratic experience and the exercise of rights in positive, sound discussions.

Hegazy pointed out that within the framework of the ministry’s keenness that education contribute to building the integrated Egyptian personality, it has worked to include in school curricula at all school levels the values ​​of effective citizenship, tolerance, rejection of violence, acceptance of the other and coexistence with it; In order to bring out an enlightened generation that is responsible, capable of pluralism, respects difference, is proud of its country, works to uphold its word, and preserves its higher interests. ; To make students more able to participate in achieving development goals and the requirements of the new republic.

The Deputy Minister added, We affirm full confidence in the Executive Office of the Council of the General Student Union and in their democratic choices, and we trust their ability to take responsibility and lead millions of Egyptian school students to outstanding student activities through the slogan: (Student unions .. Citizenship and development), stressing that the Ministry spares no effort in order to achieve comprehensive development for young people; This has a great impact on the formation of mental abilities, the formation of personality, and the acquisition of social behavior, and the Ministry is committed to providing an equal opportunity for every child to receive an educational service of a high level of quality, commensurate with international standards.

For his part, Ahmed Musa, the general leader of the Union of Students of the Republic Schools, confirmed that the Executive Office of the Council of the Union of Students of the Republic Schools had a pioneering democratic experiment, which they practiced by themselves to represent millions of students in all directorates of education, through elections characterized by integrity and transparency, noting that this experiment resulted in the election of an office An executive representing all Egyptian school students this year, through which its members won the confidence of their colleagues, to express their ideas and ambitions.

The General Pioneer of the Republic Schools Union indicated that the ministry, led by Minister Tariq Shawky, pays great attention to how to prepare students for a sound scientific and educational preparation that makes them citizens capable of assuming responsibilities and participating in the development of their society through the activities and programs implemented by the General Union of Students of the Republic Schools.

Student Mazen Mustafa Qarni Muhammad, Secretary-General of the Student Union of the Republic Schools Council, said that we all went through an electoral experience that was characterized by objectivity, transparency and responsibility through conscious student leaders who love Egypt, during which ideas and proposals were put forward during the presentation of the electoral program for everyone who ran for membership in the Executive Office and the positions of Secretary and the Assistant Secretary, promising that they will do their utmost through cooperation and coordination between student leaders at the level of the Republic to activate the central topic (student unions..citizenship and development).

Student Sarah Ihab Rashad, Assistant Secretary of the Students’ Union of El Gomhouria Schools, presented the recommendations of the first conference of the Union of El Gomhouria Schools Students, the most important of which are: holding cooperation protocols between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture to provide electronic programs to develop students’ skills, and organizing an online exchange program between the Egyptian Students Union Student unions in Arab countries participate in the presidential initiative for a decent life and implement awareness programs in the villages in which the initiative is implemented.

The ceremony included honoring the first five places for the winning directorates in the most active technical office for student unions, where the Directorate of Education in Menoufia won the first place, Cairo in the second place, and Qalyubia won the third place, Suez in the fourth place, and the Beheira in the fifth place.
