Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Mr. Mohamed Gebran, Minister of Labor, launched the (Egypt GATE "Genius") initiative this morning, Saturday, in the presence of Dr. Gina El-Feki, Acting President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Dr. Hani Ayad, Executive Director of the Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund, and in the presence of a number of university presidents, leaders of the Ministry, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, the Children's University, research centers, and a number of school students, at a hotel in New Cairo.

Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed that the Egyptian state supports everything that contributes to efforts to advance human elements to achieve development, pointing out the existence of centers to support innovative, talented and genius students in various Egyptian universities; to provide all aspects of the necessary support to develop their talents and capabilities, and support efforts to develop the educational process; Which will contribute to qualifying students to be able to provide innovative solutions to the problems facing society, and support the state's efforts for development in the future, explaining that the program aims to discover the exceptional skills of brilliant and talented children throughout the republic, and then include them in programs to hone their talents and brilliance through the programs and mechanisms of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in adopting the human being and building his capabilities, in the belief of the ministry that supporting today's children is supporting tomorrow's youth and future leaders; to achieve the aspirations of the new republic.

The Minister of Higher Education referred to the principle of innovation and entrepreneurship as one of the most important principles of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, to qualify students to be able to meet the needs of the labor market, which supports the state's efforts to build the "New Republic", stressing the ministry's interest in linking the strategy to industry to develop the national economy, within the framework of achieving the "Alliance and Development" initiative, which enjoys the support and sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

Dr. Ayman Ashour highlighted the GEN Z program, which is one of the largest programs supporting innovative ideas among Egyptian university and institute students, within the framework of supporting entrepreneurship among students, which is being implemented between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by the Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund and the United Media Services Company, with support amounting to 100 million pounds.

The Minister of Higher Education pointed out that Egypt is full of many talented, innovative and geniuses, including the distinguished child Yahya Abdel Nasser, who joined the Faculty of Science, University of Science and Technology, Zewail City, and succeeded in obtaining high results, stressing that he is a model of a distinguished and creative student.

In his speech, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif expressed his happiness to participate in this important celebration that witnesses the launch of an ambitious initiative aimed at discovering, supporting and caring for talented children and youth, which comes in line with the Egyptian state's vision for sustainable development (Egypt 2030), and focuses on caring for and developing talented and innovative people at different age levels; Believing that they represent Egypt's true wealth and its creative leaders who will lead it to broader horizons towards progress and prosperity, pointing out that investing in nurturing the talented and innovative is not a choice, but rather a national duty, as talent is a promising plant that needs fertile soil and a stimulating environment to bear fruit and flourish, explaining that when we provide our talented and innovative children with adequate care and necessary support, we guarantee Egypt a promising future full of achievements and innovations. The Minister of Education pointed out that the importance of nurturing and developing the capabilities of the talented and innovative comes as they are a driving force for the economy and sustainable development efforts, as innovations contribute to creating new job opportunities, enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy, diversifying sources of income, in addition to providing innovative solutions to the problems facing society; This is positively reflected on the quality of life of citizens, pointing out that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education enjoys unprecedented care and support from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to support programs to discover talented and innovative students in various stages of pre-university education, and in all fields, in addition to providing an educational environment that stimulates creativity and innovation, and supports the spirit of initiative and critical thinking, by providing the necessary resources that enable them to achieve their desired goals. Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif stressed that the Ministry is working to build effective partnerships with the private sector and civil society organizations, and is making all efforts aimed at encouraging talented and innovative people to communicate with their counterparts abroad, and to participate in international conferences, competitions and events, stressing that the Ministry has succeeded in developing curricula, according to international standards, in a way that allows the student to unleash all his talents and abilities, within the framework of the "New Beginning to Build the Egyptian Person" initiative, noting that the Egyptian student is capable of achieving leading positions in all fields, and perhaps the most prominent example of this is what the students of the Schools of Excellence in Science and Technology (STEM) achieved, who achieved first place in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF2024), adding that caring for talented and innovative people is the optimal investment for the Egyptian state, and its responsibility falls on the shoulders of all concerned, so we must all strengthen the bonds of cooperation; with the aim of enabling talented and innovative people to unleash their full potential, and the Minister thanked all the participating and supporting parties of the (GATE Egypt) initiative for their sincere efforts in supporting and caring for our children from Talented and innovative, he also thanked all those in charge of organizing the celebration and making it come out in this honorable way.
