The Minister of Education discusses with the head of the German company "DMG More", aspects of cooperation in the field of technical education
Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received today, Mr. Christian Thuns, Chairman of the Executive Council of the German company "DMG More", and his accompanying delegation, to discuss aspects of cooperation in the field of technical education development, in addition to all different areas of development.
In this context, Dr. Tarek Shawky praised the fruitful and constructive cooperation with the company as one of the important German companies in the field of manufacturing and operating machines in the world, and has great experiences and capabilities through which it can contribute to the development of technical education in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Minister emphasized the Ministry's interest in cooperating with international companies to transfer knowledge and support research and development, creativity and digital manufacturing of electronic applications and products, in addition to implementing many programs aimed at motivating leading companies to establish several schools of applied technology and development of human cadres in the field of technical education and advanced electronics, and transformation. Shawky added that this cooperation comes within the framework of the ministry’s plan to develop and pay attention to technical education, which the ministry started by establishing schools of applied technology in a tripartite partnership between the ministry that provides the school and teachers, and the private sector as a representative of business owners wishing to prepare the human resources necessary to operate their factories. Thunes emphasized that this cooperation represents a pioneering step for Egypt and the African region to localize smart automated management technology in manufacturing and digitization in accordance with the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, praising the Egyptian government's plans to localize modern technology and train human cadres according to the latest mechanisms of modern digital training systems.
During the meeting, the establishment of a number of schools of applied technology was discussed, so that the Ministry would be the main funder for the distinguished students and technicians that the manufacturer would use in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
