The Ministry of Education honors the winners of the "Glimpses of India" art competition
Under the auspices of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and within the framework of his directives to promote positive values, focus on artistic talents, and take care of the emerging generations of young people and motivate them to take an interest in art and contribute to creating a generation of creators, events were held to honor the winning students in the “Glimpses of India” competition. This is under the supervision of Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development.
And in the presence of Dr. Rabab Abdel Mohsen, Director General of Art Education Development, the Deputy Ambassador of India, the officials at the embassy, the Maulana Azad Indian Cultural Center in Cairo, and the parents of the winning students.
On the sidelines of the celebration, the Deputy Ambassador inspected an exhibition of the winning students' works. The Indian delegation exchanged conversations with the students about the competition and the extent to which they benefited from it, encouraging them to practice these artistic competitions that elevate the spirit and artistic motivation. An Indian band also participated in the celebration by playing music.
In her speech, Dr. Rabab Abdel Mohsen expressed her happiness at attending this celebration, praising the areas of cooperation with the Indian Embassy over the past 26 years in sponsoring creative students and supporting artistic competitions, in which 600 school students participated this year.
She praised the distinguished works presented by the students, which embodied the depth of cultural and artistic ties between Egypt and India, and the constructive ideas of the students in transmitting and linking cultures in a wonderful way.
She explained that for the first time, art education teachers nationwide will participate in the "Glimpses of India" competition next year, to show their love and influence on Indian culture.
In his speech, Mr. D. S. Mina, Director of the Maulana Azad Center for Indian Culture in Cairo, welcomed the attendees, pointing out that the competition was held in 6 governorates with approximately 430 schools, after a two-year hiatus due to the Corona pandemic, pointing out that next year the competition will be held on a larger scale. Other categories of people of determination will be included.
For his part, Mr. Ashish Gupta, Deputy Ambassador of the State of India to Egypt, affirmed the bilateral cooperation between Egypt and India, expressing his gratitude for the visit of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, as a guest of honor to the Republic’s celebrations in the State of India during the current month, stressing that such visits give a strong impetus between The two countries, as this year witnesses the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Indian-Egyptian diplomatic relations.
He added that today we are about to launch another bridge of cultural ties between the two countries by distributing prizes for the "Glimpses of India" drawing competition. For 27 years, the center has continued to organize the competition, specifically since 1994.
At the end of his speech, he expressed his appreciation for Egypt's participation in this competition, and congratulated the winners and thanked the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The final qualifiers resulted in the victory of 63 male and female students from the governorates (Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Gharbia, Alexandria, Sharqia, and the Red Sea). Dr. Rabab Abdel Mohsen, a representative of the ministry’s leadership, presented prizes such as medals and certificates of appreciation to the winning students.
The ranking of the winning students came as follows: The high school student won the first prize, Mark Medhat Fawzi from Cairo Governorate, the student Shams Muhammad Ahmed from Giza Governorate, the student Maria Ayoub Shaker from the Red Sea Governorate, the Yemeni student Ashraf Al-Sayed from Alexandria Governorate, and the student Donia Abdul Hamid Al-Sayed from Sharkia Governorate, the student Haneen Nabil Ahmed from Gharbia Governorate, and the student Ragdan Sobhi Ibrahim from Qalyubia Governorate. The second prize was won by: Hams Ahmed Yousry from Cairo Governorate, the student Maria Fawzi Tawfiq from Giza Governorate, and the student Sandy Mansour Hakim from The Red Sea Governorate, the student Ali Muhammad Hassanein from the Alexandria Governorate, the student Hana Mahmoud Muhammad from the Sharkia Governorate, the student Shaimaa Ashraf Shaaban from the Gharbia Governorate, and the student Omar Ahmed Muhammad from the Qalyubia Governorate, and the third prize was won by Sarah Morcos Zakher from the Cairo Governorate, and the student Rokaya Abd Al-Moati Ahmed from Giza Governorate, student Malak Dhawi Khudair from Red Sea Governorate, student Sama Muhammad Al-Sayed from Alexandria Governorate, student Nirvana Reda Muhammad from Sharkia Governorate, and student Y. Ara Essam Ahmed from Gharbia Governorate, and the student Manna Allah Ahmed Mohamed from Qalyubia Governorate.
In the preparatory stage, the first prize was won by Farida Ahmed Nassar from Cairo Governorate, student Sarah Mostafa Abdel Aziz from Giza Governorate, student Manuela Reda Abdel Shaheed from Red Sea Governorate, student Mirna Ahmed Mohamed from Alexandria Governorate, and student Ola Yahya El-Sayed from Sharkia Governorate, student Mahmoud Abdel Hamid Kamal from Gharbia Governorate, and student Abdullah Abdel Hamid Muhammad from Qalyubia Governorate. The second prize was won by Shahd Sameh Anwar from Cairo Governorate, student Fayrouz Ihab Muhammad from Giza Governorate, and student Yasmina Mahmoud Ahmed from Red Sea Governorate. And the student Basmila Ragab Abdel-Aty from Alexandria Governorate, the student Nour Shaker Abdel-Halim from the Sharkia Governorate, the student Sama Ahmed Al-Hassanin from the Gharbia Governorate, and the student Loujain Ahmed Mustafa from the Qalyubia Governorate, and the third prize was awarded to each of Rinada Taha Hussein Hamdy from the Cairo Governorate, and the student Maryam Gamal Abdel-Jabbar from Giza Governorate, the student Basant Muhammad Abdel-Azim from the Red Sea Governorate, the student Maryam Hosam El-Din Mustafa from Alexandria Governorate, and the student Jana Essam Kamal from the Governorate of Sharkia, and the student Nada Khaled Neel from the Gharbia governorate, and the student Jana Muhammad Abdel Wanis from the Qalyubia governorate.
