Minister of Education discusses cooperation with Google's Head)

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with Mazen Abdullah, Head of Education for the Middle East and North Africa region at Google, on the sidelines of his participation in the second edition of the Human Capacity Development Initiative conference held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation in the field of applied technology schools with the aim of launching a Google applied technology school in Egypt. Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif highlighted Egypt's pioneering experience in applied technology schools, which has been showcased in several countries, including Germany, Japan, and Italy, with the aim of graduating students whose capabilities keep pace with the rapid developments in the labor market. He also noted the importance of placing graduates of these schools in major international companies.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif also emphasized the Ministry's commitment to expanding the model of applied technology schools in various disciplines, in partnership with the private sector and international organizations, with the goal of preparing students qualified to compete in the labor market across various disciplines. Discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation in launching educational platforms jointly between the two parties, as part of the Ministry's efforts to integrate modern technology and artificial intelligence into education.
