Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, witnessed today the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education and the International Labor Organization, in cooperation with the United Kingdom, to launch the "Higher Education for Vocational Guidance for Employment" program.

This came in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hassan Shehata, Minister of Manpower, Gareth Bailey, British Ambassador to Cairo, Eric Ochlan, Director of the International Labor Organization Office, Engineer Mohamed Zaki Al-Suwaidi, President of the Federation of Industries, and a group of university presidents and representatives of public universities. private and technological.

During his speech, Dr. Reda Hegazy expressed his happiness at attending this important event, which is a promising step towards preparing a generation of Egyptian university graduates who are qualified to enter the labor market, noting that the university centers project aims at professional development funded by the United States Agency for International Development, which is Implemented by the American University in Cairo, it aims to establish and operate professional development centers to help students and graduates plan their career path in the labor market and acquire the required skills.

Dr. Reda Hegazy said, "We are working at an accelerated pace, keeping pace with these changes, to develop our educational systems in a way that qualifies us to deal with the challenges facing the endeavors of economic development in Egypt. Ministries, local organizations, or international partners, in order to achieve a comprehensive vision for development.

Hegazy indicated that our invitation today to sign the cooperation agreement for the "Higher Education for Vocational Guidance for Employment" project confirms this meaning, and gives the opportunity for all parties to converge around one goal and agree on a common goal that we are all moving towards achieving, creators and not recipients, researchers and inventors and not Using what others invented, starting from the pre-university education stage, in which a person's personality, orientations, way of thinking, and vision of life are formed.

Hegazy referred to the development of the technical education and vocational training sector, based on the Egyptian Constitution (2014), which stipulates that the state is committed to encouraging technical and technical education and vocational training, and developing it. In accordance with international quality standards, in a manner commensurate with the needs of the labor market, and in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to pay attention to the development of all aspects of the technical education system in Egypt.

The Minister concluded his speech by stressing that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education has enjoyed deep and successful relations with its international partners, as this is evident in the joint programs that are implemented in cooperation with the British Embassy, such as training programs for English language teachers, and other joint efforts that support the implementation of strategic goals. for education in Egypt.
