In light of the interest of Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Education and Technical Education has opened a number of developed kindergarten halls at Al-Moataz Billah Primary School affiliated to the East Nasr City Administration inside Al-Amal City (formerly Al-Haggana), through cooperation with the “Takatof” association. With the support of Australian Aid.
The opening was attended by Major General Khaled Abdel Aal, Governor of Cairo, and Glenn Miles, Australian Ambassador to Cairo, and on behalf of Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, head of the Central Administration for Special Education and supervisor of the central administration of kindergartens and basic education, and Major General Yousry Abdullah, head of the General Authority for educational buildings, and Dr. Hossam Badrawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Takatof Association.
Dr. Hala Abdel Salam, head of the Central Department for Special Education, confirmed that the kindergarten stage is a very important stage, as it is the beginning of building the Egyptian child’s mentality and forming his conscience, noting that the “Takatof” Association participated in the special development work for kindergarten halls by about 20 percent, which included the work of Structural development, educational equipment and materials, part of teacher capacity building workshops, and awareness programs for parents.
Dr. Hala Abdel Salam added that approximately 200 children benefit from this project, and the project includes 4 equipped kindergarten halls, a supervisory room, toilets, a kindergarten courtyard, and a separate entrance from the school's main entrance.
