Minister of Education heads to Qatar to participate in the activities of the 14th Conference of Arab Ministers

Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, heads to the State of Qatar today, Sunday, to participate in the 14th Conference of Arab Ministers of Education, organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar and the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, during the period from January 5 to 7, 2025.

This year's edition of the conference is held under the slogan "Comprehensive Education and Empowering Teachers: A Strategic Vision for Education in the Arab World".

The conference activities will be attended by Ministers of Education, high-level delegations representing Arab countries, a number of regional and international organizations concerned with the fields of education, in addition to leaders of a number of local educational institutions in the State of Qatar and an elite of experts and specialists in educational affairs.

During the conference, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif is scheduled to review the most important aspects of the reform in the pre-university education sector adopted by the Egyptian state, with a focus on providing comprehensive and distinguished education for all, and reviewing the most important efforts of the Egyptian state in the field of supporting and empowering teachers.

The Minister of Education will also participate in the conference activities in a discussion session for the Arab Ministers of Education under the title "Education in Crisis and Emergency Situations: Effective Policies to Ensure Quality and Continuity", during which he will highlight the efforts of the Egyptian state in confronting chronic challenges that have had an impact on the quality of education and the mechanisms implemented in this framework with the aim of upgrading the education system.

The conference is scheduled to witness the exchange of experiences at the Arab level in comprehensive education, the exchange of good experiences in the field of empowering teachers, setting controls and standards to ensure the quality of comprehensive education, ensuring good and equitable education and digital education for students in war zones in Arab countries, formulating future directions and visions to develop public education in Arab countries, and enhancing cooperation between Arab countries in the fields of education.

It is worth noting that the 14th ALECSO Conference falls within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar, and in implementation of the decision of the Thirteenth Conference (13) of Arab Ministers of Education, which was held in the Kingdom of Morocco during the period (May 29-31, 2023).
