The Minister of Education and the Governor of Sharqia inspect the “Martyr Colonel Pilot Hisham Hosni Bayoumi
As part of the visit to Sharqia Governorate, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharqia, today made an inspection tour of the “Martyr Colonel Pilot Hisham Hosni Bayoumi” schools, affiliated with the West Zagazig Educational Administration, and “Zagazig Secondary Girls’ Schools.” Affiliated to the East Zagazig Educational Administration.
They were accompanied during the tour by Dr. Ayman Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Minister, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Moati, Deputy Governor, Engineer Lubna Abdel Aziz, Deputy Governor, the ministry’s leaders, and Professor Ali Abdel Raouf, Director of the Directorate of Education in the Eastern Province.
At the beginning of their tour, the Minister and the Governor visited the “Martyr Colonel Pilot Hisham Hosni Bayoumi” school, affiliated with the West Zagazig Educational Administration, which includes 3,500 students.
The Minister and the Governor inspected the kindergarten halls and science laboratories, as well as the computer laboratory and the knowledge room.
During the visit to the school, the Minister and the Governor were keen to meet with the school teachers. To listen to their opinions on the new executive procedures to confront student densities, fill the deficit in the number of teachers, restructure secondary education, and attract students to schools, noting that these meetings come within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to continuously communicate with teachers and listen to their proposals, which enhances the spirit of cooperation. Partnership in developing the educational process, and it also contributes to building bridges of trust.
Teachers praised the new decisions based on realistic and field needs for the chronic challenges facing the educational process, stressing the importance of motivating students and attracting them to school, as well as students practicing activities, as well as the necessity of holding a weekly test to measure and follow up on students’ performance and measure learning outcomes.
After that, the Minister and the Governor went to inspect the “Zagazig Girls’ Secondary School” affiliated with the East Zagazig Educational Administration, where the total number of female students is 1,550 students. The Minister and the Governor inspected the biology laboratory and the computer laboratory. They also saw artistic exhibits for the students, which the Minister praised. And encourage them to continue developing their talent.
The Minister was also keen to hold a meeting with the teachers at the school to listen to their opinions on ways to activate activities and attract students to the school, in addition to the teachers’ opinions about the quorum of classes and their proposals to improve the educational process, stressing that the Ministry seeks to provide the maximum possible to the teachers in appreciation of their efforts and status.
The Minister also discussed with teachers the importance of restructuring secondary education, which allows sufficient time to teach the curriculum, and helps students acquire life skills and prepare them for the labor market, noting that the study subjects for the best education systems in the world do not exceed 8 subjects per academic year.
For their part, teachers stressed the importance of providing a stimulating and supportive educational environment for students, noting that these steps will contribute to raising the level of education and achieving the desired goals.
