The Minister of Education meets with the Executive Team of the International Baccalaureate (IB)

on the sidelines of the World Education Forum in London, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with the Executive Team of the International Baccalaureate (IB), which included Mr. Oli Pekka Hyttonen, Director General of the International Baccalaureate (IB), and Mr. Heif Banayan, Global Director of Business Development at the International Baccalaureate. (IB), Mr. Jean-Christophe Goris, Head of Development for Africa, Europe and the Middle East; The meeting aimed to discuss ways of cooperation in order to facilitate the implementation of International Baccalaureate programs in Egypt.

The Minister stressed that the Egyptian Ministry of Education is keen to support the provision of this type of education in Egypt at the highest level, explaining that the International Baccalaureate (IB) certificate is one of the strong certificates that enjoy great confidence in Egypt.

The Minister also stressed the importance of strategic cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the International Baccalaureate in order to achieve optimal benefit for Egyptian students and schools, stressing the importance of signing a cooperation protocol between the Ministry and the International Baccalaureate. In order to facilitate the work of schools that operate with the International Baccalaureate system in Egypt.

The meeting witnessed a discussion of the provisions of the IB Schools Expansion Agreement Protocol and the necessary stages for it, and a discussion of strengthening ways of cooperation in order to facilitate the implementation of International Baccalaureate programs in Egypt.
