The Minister of Education meets with the CEO of the "Ibda" company for project development and the founder of the "Kalemni Signal")

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with Eng. Abdel Rahman Omar Musaed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Ibda” Company for the Development of Egyptian State Projects, and Eng. Ahmed Fathi Suleiman, founder of the “Kalemni Signal” platform and company. To discuss ways of cooperation in developing digital curricula for deaf and mute students; to help them achieve their academic achievement.
Dr. Reda Hegazy emphasized the Ministry's interest in the people of determination and the deaf and dumb, noting that the Ministry places at the top of its priorities taking all necessary measures to educate and prepare them; To facilitate their daily dealings, participation and integration as an authentic partner in society, explaining that the Ministry is working to develop the academic content for deaf and mute students to include educational activities and treatments that are commensurate with their disabilities, with the aim of receiving concepts that enable them to practice learning smoothly and easily.
The minister indicated that we have become in a necessary need to learn sign language as a language through which we can hear and understand the deaf and dumb people of the country. Therefore, the Ministry prepared a bulletin with the most used signs, and it will be circulated to all schools in the Republic. To raise community awareness and spread the culture of sign language, and to entrench in the consciousness of our students that we hear and understand them. The Ministry also works to build the capacity of teachers specializing in sign language.
For his part, Eng. Ahmed Fathi Suleiman said that the "Kalemni Signal" platform and company aims to provide educational and training services in various fields for the deaf, mute, hard of hearing, and other double disabilities. To help them achieve academic achievement, integration and availability in society.
The meeting discussed the preparation and harmonization of curricula for deaf and mute students, and the development of digital curricula to help them achieve academic achievement and provide them with labor market skills.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development, Dr. Sahar Al-Alfi, Director General of Special Education, Dr. Aziza Mamdouh, Curriculum Development Center, and Karim Atef, Special Education Administration.
