Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), to discuss and discuss ways of cooperation in the field of building teachers’ capabilities and developing their skills to keep pace with developments in technology applications and investing them in developing the educational process. The “Training Program for International Certificates for Young Teachers” was launched, in light of the major international celebration organized by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) yesterday in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to launch the “ICESCO Year of Youth” under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Dr. Reda Hegazy expressed his happiness with the fruitful and constructive cooperation with the organization, appreciating the role that the organization plays in supporting the efforts of its member states in its areas of specialization, and its keenness to contribute to modernizing educational strategies, noting that the Ministry pays great attention to the professional training of teachers on a permanent and ongoing basis to keep pace with the tremendous development. In the world.

The Minister explained that the project includes several stages, and is launched under the title “Young Teachers,” noting that the first stage includes 600 trainee teachers, from teachers in the governorates of (Cairo, Giza, and Qaliboubia), and the trainees will be selected from the teachers, according to international standards, including excellence in competence and the ability to Change and familiarity with technology, provided that the age of the teacher ranges between 30 to 45 years. As for the trainers, they will be selected from among the distinguished certified trainers, reaching 20 trainers.

Dr. Reda Hegazy indicated that the main goal of the project is to provide teachers with the competencies and skills necessary for the teaching and learning processes, adding that the program will include 15 training packages, including ethics, educational organizations and policies, teacher roles and responsibilities, awareness of the learner and principles of learning, content and data analysis, education planning, and effectiveness. In teaching and its strategies, knowledge leadership and classroom learning, classroom management and interaction, learning resources and the technical environment, feedback, comprehensive and electronic assessment of learning, attention, brain and perception, self-learning and productive thinking, special groups and comprehensive integration, learning difficulties.

For his part, Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Malik stressed the organization’s keenness to continue fruitful cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt in the fields of education, science and culture, noting President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s sponsorship of the ISESCO Year of Youth, which was launched yesterday in a major international celebration, appreciating the importance of the Egyptian state to the world. Therefore, the program was launched starting from Egypt, saying: “Egypt is the incubator of culture, talent and inventions. Success begins with Egypt and reaches the rest of the Islamic countries.”

During the meeting, it was agreed to provide grants to the top ten distinguished teachers in the training program, and it was also agreed to continue coordination between the Ministry of Education and ISESCO, to establish mechanisms for implementing the program, and to work to achieve more cooperation between the two sides.

On behalf of ISESCO, the meeting was attended by Sayed Al-Absi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Egyptian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, and Dr. Sally Mabrouk, Director of the Office of the Director-General of ISESCO.
