Minister of Education follows up on the start of the new school year in (12) schools in Sohag)

In the second stop of his tour of the Upper Egypt governorates, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, this morning, inspected (12) schools in Sohag Governorate, to follow up on the start of the new school year 2024/2025.

The Minister was accompanied during his visit by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hadi, Deputy Governor of Sohag, Major General Alaa Abdel Jaber, Secretary-General of the Governorate, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up, Dr. Yasser Mahmoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Sohag, and Mr. Wael Al-Mashnab, Chairman of the Parents, Trustees and Teachers Council in the Governorate.

The visit included "Asmaa Bint Abi Bakr Secondary School for Girls" affiliated with Sohag Education Administration, which includes 828 students, "Martyr Abdel Rahman Al-Suwaifi Preparatory School for Girls", which includes 1037 students, "Lieutenant General Martyr Nabil Farag Primary School" affiliated with Sohag Education Administration, which includes 1094 male and female students, "Bahethat Al-Badia Primary School" affiliated with Sohag Education Administration, which includes 2518 male and female students, "Modern Preparatory School for Girls" affiliated with Sohag Education Administration, which includes 1566 female students, Sabry Abu Hussein Official Language Schools Complex affiliated with Sohag Education Administration, which includes 3980 male and female students, "Arab Al-Atawlah New Primary School" affiliated with Akhmim Education Administration, which includes 1731 male and female students, and "Qadry Abu Hussein Military Secondary School for Boys" affiliated with Akhmim Education Administration, which includes 1250 students. "Qadry Al-Mashnab Secondary School for Girls" affiliated to Akhmim Education Administration, which includes (1425) students, "Akhmim New Preparatory School for Girls" affiliated to Akhmim Education Administration, which includes (1964) students, "Akhmim Old Preparatory School for Boys" affiliated to Akhmim Education Administration, which includes (1466) students, and "Al-Nil Primary Mixed School" affiliated to Akhmim Education Administration, which includes (3018) male and female students.

During the school visits, the Minister congratulated all school staff on the new academic year, stressing the good reception of students and good treatment, and organizing the entry and exit of students with follow-up and supervision by teachers, in order for the educational process to proceed in a disciplined and attractive manner for students. The Minister also appreciated the efforts made by the governorate in cooperation with the ministry to support and advance the educational system.

The Minister was keen to attend the morning assembly in one of the schools, salute the flag and listen to the school radio. During the inspection tour, the Minister was assured that all textbooks had arrived and were distributed to schools. He was also keen to follow up on the announced procedures and mechanisms for distributing student densities and ministerial decisions and instructions regarding the regularity and discipline of the school year.

Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif stressed that the Ministry seeks to provide a distinguished educational system for students that will spare them from any external sources of education, and to create a suitable, good, safe and healthy climate for students during the educational process; so that they can perform their duties and ensure the regularity of the educational process in various schools.

The Minister directed the continuous follow-up of schools in the governorate, stressing the need to follow up on the regularity of students' attendance, the performance of school assignments, as well as commitment to explaining on interactive screens, and the use of laboratories during science, physics and chemistry classes.

During his visit to the schools, the Minister inspected the kindergarten halls, various classrooms, science labs in middle schools, physics and chemistry labs in high schools, lab preparation rooms, computer labs, resource rooms and libraries, art education rooms, and agricultural education rooms. The Minister also held a discussion with a group of female students in a number of schools, urging them to make the most of their academic achievement at school and interact with teachers during class
