The Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the Indian Embassy in Cairo organized an exhibition of paintings by art education teachers for the drawing competition “Glimpses of India for Teachers” at the Hanager Arts Center hall at the Egyptian Opera House, in the presence of Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development on behalf of Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education Technical, and Ajit Guptih, Ambassador of India to Egypt.

In his speech on behalf of the Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Akram Hassan expressed his happiness at attending the opening of the exhibition of art education teachers' paintings on the drawing competition "Glimpses of India for Teachers", pointing out that the implementation of this competition confirms the depth of the distinguished relations between Egypt and India, which It gained more momentum under the directives of the political leadership, to support the course of relations between the two friendly countries in a constructive and positive manner.

Dr. Akram Hassan explained that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education pays special attention to teachers for being the basis of the educational process and the effective engine for the development of the educational system, and that it strives to raise their professional competence.

He pointed out that this artistic competition is the first of its kind for teachers, which showed their high artistic abilities and creativity through their participation in the competition.

Dr. Akram added that the drawing competition "Glimpses of India" is held annually in Egypt to celebrate the close relations between Egypt and India, and to strengthen the bonds of Egyptian and Indian friendship and culture, as cooperation takes place between the Ministry and the Embassy of the State of India through the Office of the Art Education Consultant over a period of 26 years to implement the competition. Drawing for students at the level of the Republic in all governorates, where school students in the primary, preparatory and secondary stages, from various public and private schools, participate in the competition, adding that this is the first time that the competition has been launched with the participation of approximately (470) teachers at the level of all governorates of the Republic, where he won (96) A teacher with the best deeds.

Dr. Akram praised the creativity of the teachers participating in the art exhibition, expressing his thanks and appreciation to all those in charge of the competition for supporting and upgrading the skills of teachers, and for their sincere and distinguished efforts in making this exhibition appear remarkable and dazzling, as well as all educational leaders and education workers for their sincere support for this competition and their efforts. tireless in order to achieve the exhibition goals.

Dr. Akram also expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of the Embassy of India in supporting students and teachers to show their talents, which enhances the extension of cultural and civilizational bridges and the consolidation of ties between two ancient peoples, the Egyptian and the Indian. He also expressed his sincere thanks to Ambassador Ajit Gupte, Ambassador of India to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and officials of the Maulana Azad of the Indian Cultural Institute affiliated to the Embassy of India in Cairo, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to enhance cooperation with the Indian side, and to enhance scientific and cultural cooperation, which extends for many years.

For his part, India's Ambassador to Egypt, Ajit Guptih, expressed his great happiness with this competition, saying: "The Indian Embassy in Cairo attaches great importance to strengthening cultural relations and communication between the two friendly peoples," referring to the important decision taken by the leaderships of the two countries to upgrade relations to the level of strategic partnership, as Bilateral relations are witnessing tangible progress on the ground, praising the good relations that bind the two peoples. He also praised the artworks of school students that express India and its civilization.

Ambassador Ajit Gupte added that India and Egypt celebrate this year (2022-2023) the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. For the first time, an exhibition of paintings for art education teachers.

During the opening of the exhibition, Dr. Akram Hassan and Ambassador Ajit Gupte inspected the exhibits and listened to the participants' explanation of their paintings and the meanings they contained, as they praised the exhibition's creativity and high skill comparable to the world's leading artists.

At the conclusion of the activities, the two sides honored the teachers who won the competition and awarded them certificates of appreciation.

Dr. Rabab Abdel Mohsen, art education advisor, a group of ministry leaders, and a number of art education mentors and teachers from all governorates participated in the opening of the exhibition on the part of the Ministry of Education.
