The Minister of Education and the Governor of Assiut inspect 9 schools in the governorate
Within the framework of the visit to Assiut Governorate, which comes at the beginning of a visit to several governorates in Upper Egypt, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, today conducted an inspection tour of (9) schools in the governorate to follow up on their readiness before the start of the new school year 2024/2025.
They were accompanied during the tour by Dr. Mina Emad, Deputy Governor, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up, Accountant Adly Abu Aqil, Assistant Secretary-General of the Governorate, Counselor Mohamed Mahmoud Kamel, Undersecretary of the State Council, Legal Advisor to the Governorate, Counselor Islam Awad, Advisor to the Governor for Media and Political Communication Affairs and Official Spokesperson for the Governorate, Professor Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Desouky, Director of the Education Directorate in Assiut, and Engineer Mustafa Abdel Fattah, Director of the Educational Buildings Authority in the Directorate.
The Minister and the Governor inspected the schools of "Martyr Ahmed Fayez Secondary School for Girls" affiliated to the Assiut Education Administration, which includes 1026 female students, "Taha Hanafi Preparatory School for Boys" affiliated to the Assiut Education Administration, which includes 697 male students, "Khadija Youssef Secondary School for Girls" affiliated to the Assiut Education Administration, which includes 1390 female students, "Al-Wahda Al-Arabiya Primary School" affiliated to the Assiut Education Administration, which includes 907 male and female students, "Durya Al-Husseini Primary School" affiliated to the Assiut Education Administration, which includes 822 male and female students, "Nasser Military Secondary School for Boys" affiliated to the Assiut Education Administration, which includes 1923 male students, "Bani Mur Preparatory School for Girls" affiliated to the Al-Fath Education Administration, which includes 613 female students, "Al-Nahda Basic Education School" affiliated to the Al-Fath Education Administration, which includes 1209 male and female students, and "Bani Mur New Primary School", which includes 500 male students. A student, and "Al Nahda Primary School", affiliated to Al Fath Education Administration.
During their visit to these schools, the Minister and the Governor inspected the kindergarten halls, classrooms, science labs in middle schools, physics and chemistry labs in high schools, lab preparation rooms, as well as computer labs, multimedia labs, resource rooms and libraries, art education, agricultural education, and home economics rooms, meeting rooms, and school gardens.
During the school visit, the Minister was keen to ensure that schools hang lists of students' names on all classes, and prepare school schedules, directing the provision of a stimulating and supportive educational environment for students.
The Minister and the Governor were reassured about the implementation of the new executive procedures to address student densities, and adherence to the agreed densities, and the schools included less than 50 students in the class.
The Minister directed the directors of these schools to start implementing the reinforcement groups at the beginning of the school year, and to announce them and the necessity of providing the appropriate procedures and mechanisms for the comfort of the teacher and the student, explaining that these groups are held under the supervision of the Ministry and include the most efficient teachers.
The Minister also made sure that smart screens in secondary schools are ready and operational, as well as laboratory tools, and directed to review simple maintenance in schools.
On the sidelines of the Minister's visit to Assiut Governorate, the Minister and the Governor made statements to the accompanying press delegation during the visit, where the Minister praised the governorate's readiness for the new academic year, as part of the preparations he witnessed during his visit to schools in the governorate, stressing the Ministry of Education's keenness to launch a disciplined academic year in all governorates.
In a reassuring message to parents, the Minister stressed that the Ministry aims to provide our students with a good education and prepare them for the future, noting that the Ministry spares no effort to achieve this. The Minister also indicated that there will be continuous follow-up in all governorates during the academic year.
For his part, Major General Hesham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, stressed that the governorate plays a major role in light of the directives of Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, in preparation for the start of the academic year, in addition to coordinating with all relevant ministries to provide all capabilities and provide good service to our children in schools.
The governor also stressed that the governorate is working to provide sufficient labor in schools, as well as any elements and tools the ministry needs.
The governor also appreciated the ministry's provision of all the capabilities the governorate needs to provide a good educational process, including textbooks, qualified teachers, equipping classrooms, laboratories, and providing computers, stressing that the governorate is fully prepared to receive the new school year.
In parallel with the minister's visit to the Upper Egypt governorates, the ministry's leaders, under the directives of Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, are conducting field visits to the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Suez, Menoufia, Dakahlia, Beheira, and Fayoum to follow up on preparations for the start of the new school year.
