Under the patronage of Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry held a ceremony today to honor the distinguished and outstanding students who participated in the International Olympiad for the English Language and achieved advanced positions in the world through the video conference network.

Dr. Randah Shaheen, Head of the Public Education Sector, expressed her happiness at honoring the winning students, for their honorable level in the International English Language Olympiad 2020, in light of Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030 and the achievement of the most important education goals, which is the ability to achieve global competitiveness for education, noting that this is The first time that Egypt, among 51 countries in the world, participated in the International English Language Olympiad.

She emphasized that the people of Egypt are able to achieve championships and achieve global competitiveness in international scientific competitions and competitions in the field of education, which improves the level of Egypt's classification globally.

The head of the education sector congratulated the winning students, pointing out that this is the beginning that calls for concerted efforts and partnership to raise the Egyptian flag in all international education forums.

For his part, Dr. Ayman Helmy, member of the board of directors of (Idumeter Egypt), emphasized that the company attaches great importance to science and to encourage male and female students to participate in international competitions. This is in order to achieve progress and development in Egypt, explaining that nearly (2000) students from Egypt participated in the International Olympiad, competing at all levels for all grades, and tests (reading, listening and grammar skills) were held, and the qualifiers worldwide resulted in the participation of 11 competitors from Egypt, and the student Ghadir Rakbi, a student in the second year of high school from the School of Science and Technology for Girls, won second place in the world at the fifth level, and she received a full free scholarship to study at one of the largest universities in America, and the rest of the team won distinguished positions in World ranking.

At the end of the celebration, the winning students were honored, and certificates of appreciation and gifts were presented for their excellence and motivation, and the students were: Ghadeer Ahmed Al-Rakbi, who ranked second in the world from Cairo, Iyad Moataz Youssef, fifth from Giza, Mohamed Abu Bakr Mostafa, sixth from Cairo, and Arwa Hatem, the center. The tenth from Menoufia, Brayhan Muhammad Ezzat twelfth from Qena, Roudi Ahmed al-Robi fourteenth from Alexandria, King Muhammad al-Sayed sixteenth from Alexandria, Farah Fahim Muhammad nineteenth place from Menoufia, Muhannad Muhammad Safwat twenty-first from Sohag, and Nihad Muhammad Bahjat, twenty-second from Kafr El-Sheikh, and Kirollos Emad, rose twenty-fifth from Qena.

The ceremony was attended by a number of leaders of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Ayman Helmy, a member of the board of directors of (Idumeter Egypt), the student sponsor, and Dr. Mahmoud Ramadan, the company's executive director.
