Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met with Dr. Salem bin Muhammad Al-Malik, Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) at the Egyptian Opera House, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides in supporting the development of the educational system and the capabilities of teachers.

Dr. Reda Hegazy praised the organization's role in spreading science and culture, appreciating the fruitful cooperation between the organization and the ministry, and the hard work to develop the partnership between them, indicating the ministry's readiness to provide all necessary means of support for the activities and programs carried out by ISESCO.

Dr. Reda Hegazy reviewed the Ministry's efforts to develop teachers' capabilities in line with the revolutions the world has witnessed in digital transformation and technology, which requires improving teachers' performance in line with the development pursued by the Ministry in the educational system to keep pace with global developments, stressing the importance of working on sustainability in the field of development. professional for teachers.

For his part, Dr. Salem bin Muhammad Al-Malik reviewed the most prominent axes of the organization's vision and strategic directions in the field of education, and the training programs it implements for teachers in a manner commensurate with the needs and strategies of each country and granting them certificates accredited by the organization.

The meeting dealt with the discussion of the most prominent programs and activities that are implemented in partnership between the Arab Republic of Egypt and ISESCO, especially the project of international professional certificates in teaching, which aims to build a comprehensive system for developing the skills of teachers and providing educational practitioners with the necessary competencies they need in their specializations and various fields, to achieve the goals of educational curricula and develop them. One of the most important qualitative outputs of the project is to enable 100,000 teachers over the next ten years in ISESCO member states to obtain the International Certificate in Teaching (PCT). Its implementation comes in cooperation between ISESCO and the Saleh Kamel Humanitarian Foundation, within the framework of the organization's vision aimed at supporting the modernization of the process. education in its member states.
